I have Geico. No issues but also I’ve never had an accident so I haven’t had to actually deal with them

USAA is awesome if you have a veteran in the family. We just had an accident and they took great care of us.

She should be able to get her own plan - my dad is a veteran. We have our own plan that is not linked to my parents and our rates/driving history do not impact my parents’ plan.

USAA is actually what she has with her parents now, my Father-in-law is a veteran

Can I get USAA if my uncle is a vet? AKA non-immediate family?

EY1 - I don’t think so. I believe it ends at Grandfather/mother, but you can always check their website. When you go to sign up, it’ll be one of the very first questions they ask. USAA *does* have some services for non-veterans as well, and that may include insurance, but I think it may be limited to generic banking activities. Can’t hurt to look!

USAA is pretty legit for banking as well. One of the pioneers in digital since they have very few branches.

Geico and progressive are great for unblemished records - can’t speak to others. Credit score is a huge factor in pricing. I’ve had 10 points on my license with Geico and they never raised my rates - probably didn’t pull my MVR either

I'm not a veteran and I have USAA. They're really great

Get a divorce ?

Don’t you already have a policy? Why not just add her to yours?

State farm is good. In my experience they don’t jerk you around on claims, but I’ve only ever had a claim on my house policy, not auto. Contractors were surprised that they resided the while house to make it match since my old siding was no longer available

I know this topic does not get talked about much but will eventually impact almost all of us so here goes. I am thinking of retiring (early) and would love recommendations for countries that I can retire to that. Primary factors would be cost if living, safety, warm climate, good health care system, (preferably) close to the US - not a requirement, stable government and laws, diversity in landscape (beach, rivers, mountains). Definitely not super rich so thinking of 5k a month in expenses.

I already sent him the midtown uniform Instagram page as some jokes/inspiration but that seems more finance and less tech. Thanks!

I have a diagnosed mental health condition that I’m very hesitant about disclosing because I’m concerned about blow back. It means that there are days when I struggle to get out of bed (I still manage somehow). Office socials are a nightmare that trigger PTSD, hence I make some excuse and avoid. Today someone senior in the firm made a comment which made it obvious that none of this is going unnoticed. I feel really low and don’t know what’s the best way forward. Help!

Apparently more than a few of my firm's associates moved to other states during COVID and are now quitting because we are coming back to the office. The wierd thing is that my office is quickly replacing those associates with other associates that moved here (a large secondary market) during COVID and refuse to go back to their (mostly NYC-based) firms. Is this churn happening at other firms too?
