Amazon FLDP vs Gartner Consulting (post-MBA level). I am worried taking Amazon will close the door for consulting in the future. Amazon comp - 130k base + 80k sign-on bonus (~45k first year, ~35k second year) + 100k RSU (4 year vest). Gartner - 125k base + 15K EOY Bonus + 10k sign-on bonus. Do I pass on my hopes for consulting and chase the money?
MD or MBA? I got into both. I know most will say choose the MD, but hear me out: MD: I'd have to go into a specialty to have a good IRR given my salary & the $200K+ debt. By the time I'd be done with residency the US may be in a single payer system. US doctors make 3x the amount in France and 2x vs UK.. I currently make what a doctor makes in France. That could be the future here, too. MBA: 1 yr. Europe. I'd make about 15-20% more vs. now.
Better to be a big fish in a small pond or a little fish in a big pond for MBA apps (I.e. superstar at B4 or mediocre/below average at MBB; metaphorically speaking ofc, ik the B4 is technically bigger in terms of size but you understand the point in terms of competitiveness)?
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
Anyone took workday certification courses remotely? Does anyone have the link to the course books used during certification?

Reposted in Compensation. What roles can I look at doing in Tech for a Manager in Cyber with 4 YOE in consulting + 1? Have CISSP as well and degree in CompSci if that matters. Also estimated TC for position. Though I’ve been “fast tracked” the grind of it with minimal pay is frustrating and debating if I can get higher TC have a relative or better title and enjoy a better WLB. Thanks in advance 🐠
Career question. I want to eventually get to be Director or VP Strategy at a F500, and most of these roles say they require a M7 MBA. I currently have 3 YOE and have the opportunity to exit at the manager level in strategy. Will not having a MBA gate keep these senior levels from me?
If I stay at EY until Senior Manager, will I have trouble becoming a director or VP at a F100 company without an MBA? Do you really need an MBA from a top school (MBA in general) to have high level positions in industry?

Please help. I was laid off this past week. I am international and my OPT is coming to an end very soon. I had a call with an immigration lawyer and Deloitte unfortunately does not offers additional support for immigrants aside from said call. I am in need of a job ASAP. I have until July 24th to find a job or I will have to start a new educational program or leave the US. Leaving the US is personally not a viable option. I got an offer from a boutique outside of my home country and they are ready to process visa. But I am interviewing with MBB and they only have final round interview slot early next month even after I tell them I have an offer at hand. What should I do? Theoretically I can sign with the boutique and then break it but I don’t want them get me into the visa process. Advice needed please.McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group

WLB at FAANG companies? I've heard it can be bad, especially at FB, but mostly from engineers that aren't used to >40 hrs a week. Any insights?
I received an offer from another agency (Agency B) that's a 15% pay bump, but I am happy at my current agency (Agency A). I have asked Agency A for a raise to match that (not mentioning I had another offer) but it will take them a few weeks to come back to me, and Agency B are wanting a response soon... What do I do? Do I go for the money? Do I tell my boss I have another offer on the table?
