Suggestions on an intro book to personal finance/investing?

25 y/o with no interest in actively managing a portfolio but want to set myself up for long-term financial freedom

I own two small companies, 1.5million in sales combined. Owned them for more that 20yrs. Getting older and thinking of selling, would like to sell by end of 2025.

Not sure how to go about selling. Any ideas?

What are you? Swing trader? Long term investor? Or, somewhere in between?

If I leave Deloitte after one full year post MBA will I still get to keep the first installment of tuition or will I need to return it if I don’t stay the full two years?

If you only stay a year after returning what happens to the 10K relocation and 20K early signing? Are you required to pay back half or is it all yours?

At what age did you become 100% financially independent? I.e. not a single thing paid for by parents including things like staying under their insurance

Do any of you save specifically for vacation every year? Husband and making a case for saving about 10% for yearly family vacations. We currently save or invest 40% of our income. Thoughts? Best practices for yearly vacations?

Looking for advice for investing in these two options. Say I have $100k by October saved up
1) Put 10k into iBonds and $90k as downpyament and closing costs for a property (I’ll need to put in 20%, already talked to several mortgage agents)
2) Put $0 in ibonds and put all the $100k in the home investing (given it’s a little more of an expensive property, given some other factors - location, size, etc)

Any good books to help get you up to speed on real estate finance matters?

I have declared my investments in tax declaration portal , still I see in monthly salary that there is huge tax deduction.
In my previous organization, once I declared my investments in the tax portal , then my salary was very less affected by tax deduction.
But in ey india , I don't see any effect after declaring my investments.
Kindly help me how to declare investments so that there will be less tax deductions from my salary .

Hi all, I have a question regarding retirement accounts. I am not sure if I should choose a Roth or 401k (company has 4+2% match). Currently 23, base salary is ~100k and investments have brought 45k this year which has me teetering between a 22-24% tax bracket. Wondering what the usual tax bracket is of people retired (around 65yo) as I’m not sure anything would bring in significant income with the exception of investments. In my case would a Roth make sense? Appreciate any answers!!

Can someone point me to some material where I can read about profit sharing vs 401k. I get the concept, but I am trying to understand is 10% profit sharing vested over 5 years better than an employee 401k match of 6%?

From my understanding 10% PS is better because it’s just a standard 10% on top of whatever I contribute though it takes 5 years to vest. Does this mean if I leave before 5 years I don’t get any of it?
