Boston is tiny, don’t fret going a bit further. You can walk most places in the city if the weather is nice (I know it’s not often)

In Boston, you really need to work with a realtor to find a good apartment. They have the connections and can handle paperwork and negotiations.
This, if you’re looking to live in the city a realtor is your best bet. They do charge a fee unfortunately, have you considered a roommate? Boston is expensive to live alone
