Sunday travel and guy going thru security ahead of me asks if its fly day since it's so busy, the TSA lady laughed at him. Also, if you have a small bag that can fit under the seat in front of you...

I will because I checked my carry on..

It was only a 1 hr flight

There is a special place in hell for those people.... I often take them out and ask people to put it in front of them to make room.

I have seen your comments earlier and in “the special place in hell” I will be right there forking the perpetrators

Please dont put it in the overhead.

like

no, no, no Sir. If I check my carry on, my bag-pack goes in the overhead compartment. Why would I wait for all of you people to put your “carry on”, half of you can’t push 10lbs anyway :)

Apologies Ma’am

Cool. I’ll bring my max carryon instead of a half size duffle just so no one is confused about which space is mine up top. Everyone gets 1 bag up (space and boarding group allowing) regardless of whether it’s big, small, or their only bag.

like

Or having to hoof it to the back of the plane to get a bag I couldn’t fit in the overhead because you needed your foot space? Not for the UN, no. Pretty appropriate to remind you of what you’re doing in a forum like this one.

Smaller generally implies the smaller of your two items.

I think this is all explained by boarding group. AA Group 4/UA Group 2 and everyone below in one camp. Early boarders in the other. Self interested outcomes are fine in this case.
