I’ve got 10+ years experience in tech sales. Top performer. Just joined this org after a sabbatical. Not yet at my 2nd year here: should be on target for $220k or so. Previously been well over 300 so just trying to figure out if comp structure here is competitive.
Do you get to build a book of business? In other words, do you get any commission from your accounts renewals? Or are you only getting commission off of new accounts or new licenses/subscriptions?
I'm in sales now, but was at 128 base with 16% variable based on brand performance and other personal KPIs when in tech sales 4 yrs ago. However, my company doesn't pay as well as many depicted here.

160 base. 160 target commission. I’m paid ~12% of ARR on deals with accelerators after 100%. Software sales with 11 years experience

About to hit 1YOE: 80k base & 130k OTE (ramped)
Likely get 90k base & 180k OTE next year
If I join competitor, 100k base with 200k OTE
I receive 16% of ARR. Jumps up to ~20% after 100% of quota and caps at 24%
