Super random q - last year just before lockdown I booked a flight for work and got reimbursed through expense report. Flight got canceled and Airline gave me a credit. I just put in my two weeks last Friday and as I’m booking a flight now, I noticed I have this credit from last year. Should I give this “credit/voucher” to my firm?

Same situation. I’ll probably just use it lol

Haha true!

What are they going to do, fire you? Seriously, the credit is only good for travel under your name. Use it I say.

like

True - thank you!

Use it. If your firm hasn't noticed yet, they are unlikely to hunt you down now. The money was billed to and received from the client over a year ago, so your firm is not looking very hard for that voucher. If they follow up for money, pay it back. They won't try to prosecute you for it, as you can easily claim you were confused or forgot or something.

Good point. Thank you!

It’s also stealing. Just sayin

It’s been so long since I booked through the portal, but don’t we usually use a WBS for flights? If you used a WBS, I’m pretty sure there is a reconciliation that is done. I used to get reports of unused bookings and account team confirming if we were going to use within a certain time.

If that is the type of person you are, go for it. It isn’t your ticket, ask the company how they want to handle it.

I am debating getting back into phlebotomy/lab assistant/sample processor. The last company I worked for was Lapcorp (Seattle,WA) in 2018 & made 17.35 an hour. I have 9 years in both inpatient & outpatient. In that time I gained lots of experience in blood draws (from new borns to drug users), sample processing, ordering, legal blood draws/breath tests, and more. I felt I was being underpaid then & wonder what the average wage is now? Or suggestions on what to ask for?

I am 7 years out in a transactional practice (real estate) and have an opportunity to move in house at a regionally respected company from a midsize firm. I have WFH flexibility at my current firm but bill about 1850-1900 per year. It would be about a 25% paycut. I have also been offered partnership starting in 2022 if I stay - not entirely clear what that long term structure looks like (would have to develop a partially independent book in next 3-5 years). Am I crazy if I leave?
