Super random question. Mother has a TON of shotgun ammo in California at her home from my late step father. She wants it gone and I want it. I currently live in Texas and have no idea how the royal heck I am going to get it here. Anyone have any great ideas?

What gauge? Buck shot / bird shot / slugs?

Mostly all 12 gauge. All bird shot. Just wish there was a way to get it here on freight or something haha. But I know that’s probably out of the question.

Freight is legal, but you have to declare it for legal, safety, and insurance reasons. If you are moving a literal ton of product then you want to look into “LTL” (less than load) freight instead of UPS/Fedex consumer “parcel” shipping. Boxing and putting on a pallet will be your responsibility though.

How do you develop healthy financial boundaries with parents? My mother made a lot of sacrifices for myself and my sister growing up but she’s starting to feel like a burden. For those eligible for the child tax credit advance payment when did you get the letter with your estimated payment amount? I didn't get the July payment or a letter so I checked the IRS site which said pending eligibility, likely because they are still sitting on my timely efiled straightforward 2020 return. Then today, I get the letter from POTUS saying the IRS estimates I'll get $800 starting July 15 (nope). Checked online again and still pending.

Sooo I have forgotten how to express love! After having a baby a couple years ago, all I have been doing is chores. My way of expressing love to my husband is cooking, cleaning, taking care of the toddler. We split tasks equally so really there's nothing special about what I do. How do I express love again? What can I do to make him feel special and loved? PS: He did tell me once that he doesn't feel loved by me anymore. And I want to fix this. Help! Cont'd...

Hanging out with my parents last night, they reminded me of how as a kid/young teenager if I wanted them to let me do something I would make a deck for them. I'd totally forgotten about this.

How safe is Houston downtown for a female staying alone with a young kid for a few months? Being very close to the office and daycare, and availability of public transport (doesn't drive) are reason for preffering downtown. However, have been reading about the recent crime surge there. If someone is generally back home by 8 PM or earlier, and will probably take Uber locally, is it still risky. Also welcome any good apartment suggestions. Thanks

What firm are you at and what are the maternity leave benefits? We only get about 3 months using parental leave and short term disability paid at 100%.

How did those with kids agree on baby names. The name my wife wants for our child is my best friends ex girlfriends name (bad breakup about 2 years ago). I can't see the name without thinking of this horrible person bc it's not that common of a name. Am I unreasonable for veto'ing this name?

Currently an A3 in audit. My team communicated to me that they’re pushing for me to get mid-year promo (Jan 2022) but I’m also interested in leaving to another Big 4 for AAS as an S1. Current salary is $73.6k and am unsure of how much I should be going for to make the jump worth it. I know EY FAAS offered a friend $85k in my market but assuming I get mid year promo I’m not so sure the salary bump would be significant enough. How much room for negotiation is there with Big 4 experienced hires?
