I think middle of the road spending would yield me netting 13k more than I do now while fully remote. However my lost time traveling would be anywhere from 6.5k to 10k/year.

I'm an SA, and my fiance is finishing up her residency and loves the medical field. I make good money and have a house but I feel like the relationship and the obligations (house, family) are anchors and holding me back from living my life. Does it make sense to apply right after layoffs and then take some time while interview process takes hold or best to take time off once you get laid off? I’ve seen on LinkedIn people chiming in saying to take time off to reevaluate once you get laid off but I feel the opposite. Apply for jobs that week - then take the week off. I’m doing so - recruiters will get back to you in a week or so so then you’re interviewing two weeks out rather than taking a week to left the dust settle then applying
