Try to look for tix to a futbol game. Have a cocktail at Alvear Palace hotel. They rave about the steak but I thought it was kinda medium. Def go to a legit tango til 4am in a seedy part of town. But Pete's sake, tell your partner you can help for x hours but you have tickets to planned events as you assumed you'd be free to go. You're stressing me out, man.

You're right, generally they are pretty reasonable, this one is an exception. @los angeles 1 - im in Buenos Aires, any recommendations?

Yeah let's talk about steak. Not the best in the city but an important first stop is siga la vaca - all you can eat so go early and don't leave until you've tried bife de chorizo, asada de tira, vascio (my favorite), and picanha, a Brazilian cut. After that you'll know which cut you like best when you order at better restaurants / parillas. Search around on foursquare for those - Don Julio in Palermo is a solid bet. Go early to parillas, they run out of good meat and get crowded quick. Drink as many malbecs as possible too! Riccitelli's "The Apple..." is an excellent starting point out of Mendoza.

Damn that really sucks.

@ZS OP - anywhere outside your hotel room. Let the partner know you need your holiday time so you can be sharp as a tack when you return in the new year.

Search online for blue currency exchanges, or if you're in a good hotel check the blue rate online and see if they'll match it. Don't use ATMs, spend all the pesos you buy before you leave, hard to exchange them back in the U.S.

Reserva Ecológica Costanera Sur is a great place for a run or long walk. Palacio Barolo is a superb view - check the hours. Teatro Colón is cool too. Lastly, if you have a week get out of BA and fly to Bariloche for hiking, better steak, chocolate, and La Salamandra Pulpería, the best restaurant in the country. Bariloche was go

That sucks bro, I thought ZS partners were generally reasonable. Why can't you write them from South America

Hello Everyone. Hope you're all well! As I have posted before I'm in search of a new job. I've been in the IT field for several years as a consultant. I wasn’t really feeling the covid stress so much until it has been spreading through my school. My county rate is over 10%, I’m honestly just confused why we haven’t gone remote for a bit, at least until we’ve been able to vaccinate and lay low for a while. I’m starting to feel unsafe. We don’t even have enough subs for how many teachers are out right now. I love being at school, but this feels too much. On top of everything our paid covid days have decreased. I’m so confused about everything. 😣
