What's the compensation for Directors at PwC DDV? And how is your life as a Director in the practice?
What should be a salary range of mid-weight art director in Canada? I live in Toronto...work for agency for 4 years. Last raise I got was 2 years ago. Covid made our agency go on a wage freeze...and I am overdue for performance review. Wondering if I should approach my boss for salary talk...or jump ship?
For the folks who joined before 15th Jan in Deloitte usi, 1. When the monthly PTO will be allocated in the system. It is still shown as 0 2. Will Jan salary be credited on 31st Jan or with Feb salary.
What’s life like at DayBlink in DC? What kind of work, training, WLB, comp, and culture?
Has anyone “over contributed” to their Roth IRA? I got a surprise bonus and raise that put me 140k+ this year, and have already contributed the full 6k. I’m going to see a CPA soon but wondering what the process was for those who have been in this situation
Hello Fishes, MBA/MarkOps-IIM I have recently joined workforce in an ecommerce retail(yo 5 Months) in India as Category manager and have been looking for switching. Would you people advise to switch considering this is my first job and the work seems to be quite of not the taste i was expecting. Initially It felt challenging and now it feels like a run of the mill. For compensation I feel I am overly underpaid too considering the same post in another firm. Please suggest!
Is it bad to not tell your firm where you’re going when you leave? Going to competitor with certain practices of ours and worried about my bonus getting withheld (policy is still to pay it out pro-rated for the year)
Playing hardball with a big agency on a contract hourly rate is terrifying but I’m staying strong for now. Wish me luck
FAANG secondment for 2 years. Would you do it and are there any disadvantages you can think of? Joined consulting to try many things but 2 years seem a bit long. Wondering if this would impact future compensation and opportunities; especially when my manager promotion is in the upcoming fiscal year.
Have exit offer from US Federal Gov, unsure if I should take it. CEQA practitioner into NEPA planner, offer is 87k + $5k signing bonus with two year commitment and federal benefits, 30 minute anti traffic commute. Currently have $79k with full WFH. Would have to share an office at the Feds.
Considering making a lateral move as a biglaw (Kirkland/Sidley/Cleary/Paul Weiss type firm) mid level litigation associate in a major market to a similar firm in the same market. I don’t dislike my current firm or work, have very strong reviews, and good relationships with some key partners. Main motivation for lateraling is for potential of a significant signing bonus given the current landscape, and general uncertainty about future at my current firm. Would appreciate any advice/insights.
I’m just a lowly associate. Can someone explain staffing and layoff models. Why’s my firm firing 10 people and then re hiring 8 people. Wouldn’t it make more sense to just reduce salary and attempt to retain people. Just trying to understand the logic
Cross posted from Personal Investment Chatter. Am I stupid for making an offer on a house with the following financials: Total comp ~$340k/ take home annually after taxes etc ~$188k. House is $830k, put $215k down. Monthly mortgage of $4040 inc. principal/interest/taxes/insurance. I have no other debt and liquid non-retirement savings of ~$240k after the down payment. The numbers seem to work but I am nervous.
Hey there, what is your experience on a salary increase in percent when upgrading from a senior consultant to a manager (preferably in Germany, management consulting at PwC, fixed salary without take off time for over time)
P5, Principal PM comp benchmark. I’m a senior PM moving to a higher level of PM (equivalent to P5, Principal), I have been made a TC £150k offer (in London) which is close to what I make now as senior including equity. I’ve asked asked for £200k as my area is automation in cloud computing which also brings technical needs and we are scarce folks these days. Any cloud computing PMs or other PMs with similar seniority who can advice on comp?
Curious for all the VP Sales types - what is a healthy average attainment for your team? Ours is hovering around 55% to plan for Q1 and as a rep, I'm feeling discouraged since our comp plan has decelerators built in (ie. 55% to plan only gets you ~25% of your OTE commission). What are some good ways to get it through to management that raising quotas and carving out territories to add AE headcount (while reducing SDR coverage) may not solve the turnover problem they're starting to have?
Moving from big 4 tech implementation to boutique strategy firm for huge comp increase. Long term goal is mbb. Would this move help or hurt mba admissions and mbb recruitment?
United airlines: Ladies and gentleman we’ve arrived 33 mins early to our destination at Newark airport NEWARK AIRPORT: We do not have anyone to connect the jet bridge to the plane, this will take 35 mins
EY-Parthenon vs Strategy& for exit opps and prestige? Interested in exiting to corp dev/strategy in industry or pe as well. I’ve heard that Strategy& has a higher bonus which results to higher total comp, is it that much of a difference? Have two yoe for reference
most of my friends are volunteering or making entry level wages. i want to travel / buy nice clothes but i feel like that’s just reiterating our financial divide — any tips for not being insensitive?
What age were some of you able to clear $1M all in NW? Turning 30 next month and that was my 10 year goal coming out off school but in reality will be 50% short of that milestone. Still happy with what i’ve been able to accomplish, but sounds like i need to recalibrate my own expectations after this realization. for context: no student debt, 50k salary for a year, unemployed for a year, 60k salary for 3 years, 120k blended for the last 2 years. hoping to fire by mid 40s with 2.5-5M is the goal
How does Bain’s base pay increase yoy post-MBA?
Currently an S1 in TR in the north west, making 94k. Just started talks with KPMG, what should I throw out there for salary expectations? I stated 110k and was told that’s in range, just want to make sure I’m not undercutting myself.
Has/did anyone find that their curiosity or number of interests hinder them in figuring out what they wanted to do with or after an MBA? Some days i could see myself trying to go into IB for a few years, but i have a lot of other personal interests that i could see myself trying to make a career out of. I’ve been thinking about taking the GMAT for two years but because of Covid/me not deciding what i want to do, i haven’t decided if i want to go down the mba route. Turning 28 soon
Only time I met my manager in person was at my interview. Never met anyone else on my team in person. Been almost 2 years. Anyone think this is bad long term?

Hi everyone! I’m a young CPA, relocating to Raleigh. I made the decision to transition into sales after realizing that I want to bring more fun into my career. I’m currently reading sales books, watching Keenan’s YouTube channel, and learning all I can. I’m relentlessly applying for SDR positions but I’m having trouble landing interviews (been applying through LinkedIn). I would appreciate advice from anyone who transitioned from another industry into sales. How did you break the barrier?
