You didn’t get the point. Point is the very people that judge refuges, call them 3rd world and think of them as less people and don’t wana help them should remember the days that they themselves fight over toilet paper (for something that’s nearly not deadly as war) when it comes to fear so people should have more compassion for those fearing their lives.
Reiteration is if us Americans are ripping each other apart for a not deadly cause, imagine what we will do if it was a life and death situation, people would kill each other in seconds. So how about we judge less and understand and have more compassion for refugees who are fleeing for their lives.
3% of people who get it not 3% of population. Not disagreeing with your comment. the % for wars impact everyone is not even comparable. In other countries the % was much higher since they lost both civilians and military which indicates again war is a much deadlier problem so we should help those in need of saving their lives just like we want to save ours😊.
@A2 - That 3% isn’t accurately reflective of the death rate though. There currently aren’t enough screenings for Covid-19, only the very sick or those we know to have been exposed will get screened. Those with milder symptoms may think they have a cold or a mild seasonal flu and we won’t know the extent of unreported Covid-19 cases. Until we do we have a very restricted set of data to work with, the 3.4% rate was based on total cases and deaths from mid-February. As screening increases and we can find all the non-critical cases, the fatality number will likely match that of the flu.
“What you can safely say […] is that if you divide the number of reported deaths by the number of reported cases [to get the case fatality ratio], you will almost certainly get the wrong answer.”

Is this really so hard to understand A1?
What does COVID-19 have to do with the Middle East...?
Empty shelves and infrastructure destroyed by war is my guess. Mainly Syrian refugees.
3% death rate is huge. In WWII 16 million Americans served with 400,000 dead for a proportion of 2.5%. This could be a WWII level of death
Coronavirus is about to teach 10%-20% of the country how to live without an income
i did not panic buy. i have 5 packs of ramen and a carton of eggs. but i am still aware of the potential consequences of this if we don’t tread carefully (i.e., socially distancing)
