Congrats!!! 🥂✨

Our prior experience is what we have over the bootcamp UX grads.

Congrats! That's a big industry with a specific look to break free of.

I am trying to switch from editorial and/or nonprofit marketing to tech or consumer goods.

Not so great. I’m not getting many bites on my resume/book.

I’ve been trying to change careers for at least a year with no luck. I have a degree in math, completed the Google Data Analytics certification, and have a few years of professional experience. I’m also working towards completing another data analyst certificate through DataCamp. I can sometimes get interviews but nothing has led to an offer, even for entry level positions. Am I missing something?

Have a semi unique situation that I’d like some takes on. Have 10+ years of post undergrad work experience… Needed to switch careers so went back to school, and got my MBA and then immediately got a job as a tech consultant - associate level. Around what salary range should I be looking at with this background?

Which role would you choose and which do you think has greater exit opportunities?

I am currently working at one of the top tier company (service based)at a project which has come to like and end and very minimal work is there and the team wont give release since they have a minimal workforce and they kind outilize us for their support. As a budding developer I think its kind of a waste of time even though i can alawys keep leaening. Recently I got an offer from Infosys . Should I switch expecting good amount of project experience i will gain or shall i stay.

I was given the option for either a title bump or a pay bump by my current tech employer. Which one would you go for? Pros cons list below -

I’m new to the job hunting scene in the US.

When you’re a junior/mid level designer, are recruiters supposed to be thought of as gods/lifelines?

Are you supposed to feel lucky when they reach out to you and are you supposed to kiss their ass as much as possible or are you supposed to think of them as your friends and be honest about your views on things like salary and such?

Will I be equally fine not relying on getting a job through a recruiter at my stage??

I hear of UX/Product designers that make 120k out of school and recruiters are throwing out numbers even greater than that. No visibility into what my coworkers are making so I’m here.

I have 8 years of design experience in addition to design education, 3 of those years are in UX/Product design. I’m making $102k, med/vis/dental, up to 6% 401k match, unlimited PTO and options worth ~10k vested in a couple years. Bonus last year was ~10%. NYC startup.
