Switched to industry to work at a current client of my now old firm. Every week I’m utterly embarrassed by my old firm and how they very poorly justify why they’re behind on deliverables 🤦🏽‍♀️

Do people ever get caught lying about hours? I can see other associates hours, and there is one person who gets online at 10 and off by 4 but still some how manages to put 10 hrs down of billables. I work so hard just to honestly put that many hours in so it’s frustrating. Just wondering if it ever catches up to people.

During my PTO, my SM called me and asked me to start plugging myself in and he mentioned that I don't want to be left behind. He asked me to set up a call during my PTO to "catch up" with the rest of the team. I cannot wait to get out of this company as this is kinda touching my bottom line.

My current project in Deloitte USI demands atleast 14 hours work time daily. Being an associate, am expected to do work equivalent to Senior cons. Have clearly stated for not being able to work late after 9pm, but the Manager has got just one thing to say, that we need to work with onsite peeps so extending daily is necessary. My and physical mental health is on a toil due to the overwhelming working hours. Been 6months in deloitte. Should I resign? Or tryna switch project ?

Nosedive does exist. Deloitte manager here, been early promoted, recognized as a high performer and had always enjoyed the project until 2021, everything starts to fall apart. New SM criticizes my work, co-worker disrespects me and everything has to go through multiple layers to the client.
