Switching from commission to salary-only.

I’m considering a less sales-oriented role (supporting some post-sales). It doesn’t pay commission, ie. will have a higher base but less overall earning potential.

Would you consider this? What reduction in cash should be expected going from a variable to fixed compensation? For example, if you made $200k today, would it be realistic to ask/expect $180k (10% cut) + equity to make up the difference?

My commission has been 60-75% of OTE the last two years, so I feel like it’s about the same as all salary package in this economy. I’m hoping things will be better FY25. There’s nothing I can do about it, because my commission is based on the entire regional performance.

On SaaS companies I’ve worked, most fix-only salaries are 30% below the fix part of average fix+bonus packages. PMs do 100K when SEs do 130K+30K, etc. This because employers tend to put a commission on your salary when it reaches a certain threshold. Switching back to fix-only means getting back under that threshold, which value varies per company/vertical/size.
Willing to escape from the fix+bonus structure of salary is maybe not the best message to give to an employer. If I were to move from SE to Marketing or Product, I’d suggest my employer that we keep such a structure in order for me to minimise the lowering of the OTE total salary.

I was at a firm that I like working for since 2L law school. I recently got a new employment contract and promotion. I'm only a year out. But for family reasons we're looking to move closer to family and I'm looking to take a completely remote position or just start my own firm.

My current firm is pushing to go in person and won't consider me going remote. What's the best way to handle this?

I asked for revised compensation from infosys based on parallel offer letter and got below response:
Compensation is determined for various roles, based on the competency and the experience a candidate comes in with. We also look at ensuring parity amongst any other internal employee with similar competency.  Considering these facts, we will not be in position to change compensation.
Please advise how to negotiate further.

I'm an audit manager. Curious what kind of offers folks here would expect specifically from public tech companies in the Bay Area. Is it reasonable to expect a meaningful bump (>20%) in base salary, in addition to RSU and bonus? What is "normal" in terms of a four year RSU grant?

Waiting to hear about a promotion at my current company. I currently make $55k/year on paper but $70k/year in practice with overtime (averaging about 4 hrs/week). This new role is salaried. Am I low? Where I should be? Could I make more elsewhere?

I work in accounting/finance and have been at my company for over 10 years. I am planning to leave and put in my notice right after I receive my bonus which is right around when “busy season” starts. Unfortunately more than half of my annual income comes from my bonus. I feel terrible about this because it will cause my team to work extra hours during a busy time, but the company is toxic. Any tips? I don’t want to burn bridges with the non-toxic folks.

Any current/Ex IBM please guide me to Opt In/Out of the IBM's Medical Insurance.

To start of there is a co share of premium for a base sum insured of 3L which comes around 1790/-

Then skipping the benefits for a second if I jump on to the claim part there is a Copay of 10-90. Employee will have to bear 10% of the claim and insurer will bear the other 90%. For dependents 20-80 Copay.

Are the benefits are good enough to consider copay and subscribe ? Please Suggest.

Background:
I have worked at company A for 7 months now and they require I come in once a week.

They’re both finance positions with 2 YOE.
