Has anyone figured out anything creative for a baby shower in a pandemic? Is it still okay to send out cute invites for a virtual one??

Which one is better to transfer into among B4 in terms of growth, benefits, and culture? And how crazy is the busy season hours among B4?

Any insights on working at sales force? Salary, compensation package and work culture.. thoughts?

Currently interviewing with Deloitte S&O, what are the salary bands like for a consultant? They are saying they can't bring me in as a senior consultant because I don't meet the 5 yr work experience

I’m a 1st year prob 1 teacher & I just found out I’m pregnant (due mid-June). Definitely NOT planned and VERY stressed nervous. It’s hard to be happy right now. Advice on telling my principal, etc?

Not happy that fly day for me is Friday this week. Another night in a stupid hotel away from my family. Anyone else doing TPA - LAX this week?

How are others handling moving office home when you are in your late 60s? I am re-Vising my practice from trial practice to probate and estate planning with some PI. No one wants to buy any of the textbooks or other trial books or medical books I have. For those of you who also are changing their practice, how dealing with the expense of practice stuff you bought but no one wants anymore? My binders were dropped off at eight at an elementary school.

TFW your parents say they don't know where you live so you book them into a Westin on points. Welcome home, mom and dad

I’m an incoming AC1 at Bain and I have spent the summer studying a bit for the GMAT since we had a stipend. I took it with no practice and received a 640. After studying on an off for a couple of months I received a 690. I’m likely going to cancel the score since I realize it isn’t enough for M7. To provide some more insight on my profile. I graduated undergrad from UofM BBA Magna Cum Laude, have interned in Big 4 consulting, IB, and VC, and I’m an Asian-American. What should I do?

Joined consulting as a pit stop between industry roles. Now client wants to hire me direct. Being an account lead, know how much my company charges client for my services. How do I price my (cont)

I’m sure this won’t come across well but I have to say it… my husband and I make good money (about $600k combined) and are grateful for it but these Biden tax increases are going to kill us. The truly rich don’t get hit hard meanwhile it sucks to be an upper middle class family. No matter how much I make somehow my take home seems to keep going down.

Ha, in reference to the earlier post.

Which is better overall for travel and dining perks? Chase Sapphire preferred or American Express?

Is losing a parent supposed to hurt this much? Doesn't feel natural. Depressing is not the word, it's worse. 😞

Hey what’s up gang, does anyone here work at Google or Facebook and could provide a referral? Aiming for solutions engineer/account manager positions. Background in solutions engineering and entrepreneurship; built and sold a e-commerce startup. [Google + Facebook]

Our nanny takes my 7 month old out for one, sometimes 2, long walks every day (weather permitting). Love the idea of fresh air every day but its often for several hours at a time and he always returns home crying bc she's pushed him to his limit between feedings. She brushes it off saying hes just fussy which kind of irks me. Im also concerned that he's spending too much time strapped in a stroller. Is it reasonable to ask her to take shorter walks? Am I overreacting?

Suggestions on how to handle a Zoom interview? It will be with 3 partners at the same time (2 male founding partners and 1 female partner). I typically interview very well, but it's mostly bc I a fairly good at reading people which is a bit more difficult over Zoom. Also, any questions I should ask? I'm a 4th year and trying to lateral to a new firm with the same focus (cannabis litigation).
