NY CPA candidates - during covid I saw that NY extended all credits to 12.31.20 but now I see that they’ve extended to 6.30.21. My cpacentral still has the 12.31.20 date for my passed section expiration. Anyone know how to fix this?
This experience is back in Ipsos and i want to validate whether it's a DE&I issue. I got married to an army personnel when i was working there and covid happened. Company made an overnight rule that people will work from base center and could not go anywhere in lockdown. Right after lockdown they forced people to come to office. I resigned, and HR said "so you will become a teacher bcz ur husband is in the army". I felt it was stereotyping and not fair bcz they didn't want to accommodate.
So latest R-naught value for covid is 6.
Polio (pre vaccine): 4-5
So can somebody help me understand why wearing a mask is a partisan issue. Genuinely asking the question.
This is my favourite bowl by far. People here are so nice and helpful! And it always gives me the travel bug and makes me excited hearing of others travel plans (pre-post covid of course).
Hi There - I'm considering a role in consulting. The role is London based and as some of you may know the commute into London by train is significantly expensive (especially compared to my pre-covid commute by car). So that I can properly consider any offers I may get - can you claim expenses generally when travelling to client site, if that client site is also in London (albeit a different part of London to where your home office).
Reaching out as a long time wholesale apparel ae who was forced to shift back into retail mgmt among the covid closures in nyc. Having a hard time finding a ft salaried role and hoping to pivot into marketplace / tech sales. Anyone have any advice on how to strengthen the narrative of my resume to be taken seriously by hiring managers?
A recruiter told me my portfolio is not “digital” enough. So I created an instagram account named corona virus and started following people, just for them to get the notification. Am I digital now?
16 weeks and so worried all of the stress I’m under is going to hurt the baby. Between work, my own scary (non-pregnancy) health stuff, the pandemic, my mom (who is a widow and lives alone, basically isolated by choice due to covid) is having health issues, and pressures to keep billable hours up, I’ve been having complete breakdowns. Today I spent almost the entire day crying and now have to make up the billable time this weekend. I really worry abt what effect this will have on the babe.

Thanks COVID fanatics. Let’s make sure to keep crazy loons like these out of our universities. https://thechicagothinker.com/exclusive-union-college-sophomore-gets-expelled-for-refusing-booster-shot-despite-her-doctor-saying-her-getting-booster-is-ill-advised/
Is it just me or are salary budgets for new jobs way lower than pre-covid? Strangely, agency recruiters are not explaining it that way on initial calls. How do you see this all shaking out?
Glad to see the bowl grew from 1 to 5. Modest, but gains nonetheless! Do elective procedures actually come back after covid-19 peaks? Clients already brainstorming how to build trust post-pandemic ..
How is the working model in IBM post covid? Is it permanent WFH or depends on project.
How is the flexibility wrt to timing and WFH in company.
Need info on SAP Job titles/levels at Microsoft, Out of Desperation during Covid I joined Deloitte as a Consultant (one level above an entry level Analyst) with 5 YOE. Microsoft is offering me a position of Software Engineer. I don’t want to make the same mistake as I did when I joined deloitte but the next level Software Engineer 2 requires 8 YOE so a little confused here on what job title matches my YOE and skillset
I live in Mumbai. 11th July is my last day and I haven't been to office in the last 5 years. Onsite, working directly at the client site in India and then covid ensured WFH.
Please can someone let me know if it's ok to go to office in jeans and round neck T-shirt. When i was at Airoli I had cases where people were strictly made to come in formals.
Cut from a project, covid19 impact. If you need experience, pm, diverse industry, technical and business.

Happy MLK day, people,
I know a host of you here and would like to determine if there would be interest in attending an open session on career advice for young professionals of color. Talk 2 me.
How do you deal with the industry when you live in a small state (with only a handful of firms which practice the area you want to practice in) and in which ‘it’s not about WHAT you know, but WHO you know’?
Currently trying to argue pay rise (whilst looking elsewhere, but constricted because there aren’t a lot of firms where I’m based) when I know someone with the same job role and less experience is getting paid more simply because they know the partner outside of the firm.
I am so critical of myself that sometimes I lack confidence. How can I gain more confidence? I don't want to be any less of a perfectionist either.
If I have 21 RSUs vesting may 21 but another job offer (not from a FAANG but from a Series D SaaS), could I ask new company to “buy out” my RSUs? They want me to start May 1 so I can go on a company trip end of May. What are options people have tried? I don’t want to stay at Amazon until May 23 because will miss the trip with my new company and not have any time off in between jobs (I’m burnout). Amazon
Fun fact: 80%+ of those rioters are “peaceful” Joe Biden supporters “denouncing” violence 🤔
Fellow teachers, I’m facing a dilemma right now. I recently applied to Grad school and classes start in January. I am a full time Kindergarten teacher and I would like to be a full time grad student. My goal is to graduate next December with my Masters. This is an online master degree program with intensive 8 week classes. This is a 30 hour master degree program (10 classes). My question is: Can I do this? Has anyone else done this? Does anyone have any advice or guidance for me?

Thanks in Advance
Just started a new project with a bank client. Got my client laptop. Opened the web tool they use to change your password across all systems. The https site, wait for it, did not have a SSL cert installed. I get that it's an internal site that requires VPN connectivity, but no cert? Not even a self-signed cert? Really?
I have 2 years of intern experience and 2 years of GL and one year of audit, I’m getting an interview for an Accounting manager position. What should I be prepared to be asked? The role consists of work around AR, AP and GL and direct reports. Any tips?
Who would you hire ? Senior from a B4 but no CPA, or Manager from regional firm with CPA.

Working in industry is like a dream...Only work overtime less than 5 times in past 8 months, and only for extra an hour or two. One time my boss want me to fix an emergency issue, she called me and apologized for 2mins. Being respect feels excellent.

How come audits make sense in the grand scheme of things but many people in PA find it meaningless.
How do you feel about your boss being very salty when you put down your notice? Blaming you for all the potential delays in deliverables, telling you there will be no other people in the team to help him out, and all of a sudden criticizing all the work you’ve done for the team.
