Any pros or cons to switching?

I just opened a Marcus account too!

Marcus just dropped from 1.05 to .8

No point switching for a minor difference in rates unless you have a very large amount

What percent of your monthly income shoule go to rent payments?
I’ve been living with a roommate so rent has been pretty reasonable, however roommate is now getting married and I need to find a new apartment. My monthly income is about $3,500 per month. Looking at apartments around my area for a 1 bedroom woth washer and dryer in unit is about $1,900 per month which is half my monthly income; Is this normal? Is renting suppose to be half my monthly income?
Any help on this would be very helpful.

I need some help. Finally, debt-free, fully funded emergency fund (6 months), maxing out all tax advantage accounts, and have about 40k in savings in addition to our emergency fund. We originally planned to buy a house, but interest rates have priced us out of our market. What is the next financially responsible thing to do?

New college grad just started working FT and I’ve been reading this bowl for awhile and want to make sure my saving plan is on track/best way to prioritize.

1) 6 month emergency fund (target $10k which is more than I need, but I want the peace of mind)
2) Roth 401(k) up to employer match (6%)
3) Roth IRA ($500 monthly)
4) Brokerage account and 401(k)
Plan is to split extra cash between these to have better tax advantage from 401(k) but also have access to funds if needed from brokerage acct

Feels nuts to throw it in at an all time high, but I said that last month and look what happened haha.
