T2 consulting (ie non-MBB) PE group->MM/LMM, is it possible? Finance major from top 20, BB IBD internship if that matters

Has anyone in this bowl made the move from PR/Exec Comms to business consulting? (Thinking the move from agency to businesses like McKinsey, Deloitte, BCG: the client side not in-house comms). Would love to know pathways, thoughts and flags!

I currently have about 4 years of experience at Chevron (2 years in R&D, 2 years as a chemicals product manager). I am looking to transition into consulting as I have realized that I am someone who gets bored of a project once it turns into a well-oiled machine. My 4 years at Chevron has made me realize that I want to leverage my engineering knowledge to solve problems, but I want to be in a client facing role. Can anyone help me with a referral to an MBB?

I often see posts about people getting 350K exit or 450K or more in FAANG. Are those strategy folks from Big 4 or are there cyber folks too getting these exits ? I am making close to 200k as M3 in cyber . Not able to anything that would pay more than this in non-consulting ? What roles should I target ?

I am an HR Business Partner at my current company but have been afforded a few human capital consulting opportunities with various big 4 firms. I don’t think I’d want to make a career out of it given the long hours, however I’m contemplating accepting the role and doing consulting for 2 years and then going back to industry. I recently changed jobs and my new 401K provider - Principal has very limited MF investment options. My prior employer’s 401K was managed by Fidelity and provided me access to a range of MF options. Solid Post-MBA EU high finance programs? Currently at a top MBA program in the EU, but it seems Post-MBA recruiting is much less prominent in the EU. It seems like most positions require similar experience pre-MBA, which I do not have.
