Really depends on what your goals are imo — ZS is likely stronger than any other T2 in life sciences / pharma strategy (besides LEK probably) and similar with Altman for TMT.
You probably won’t go too wrong with either. But in general would say T2s > notable boutiques, if you have no aligned interests to any industry.
Agree with SA1, if you want to lateral to MBB with no alignment to verticals — T2 would be a better choice. But notable boutiques do give you a very strong path into similar MBB practices, if that’s what you are keen on.

T2> Altman Solon > EYP > other boutiques

I’m leaving. Obviously where you’re brought on as an experienced hire differs on an individual basis
In terms of prestige, T2 > boutiques. Some boutiques may be better in certain sectors (ie Altman is probably better than any T2 if you want to do TMT)
I don’t work in consulting so take what I say with a grain of salt. I work in life sciences industry
In my personal opinion ZS has yet to impress me with their work, lek very impressed, Deloitte great/ strong work for anything with nuts bolts tech or long term work type things.
On higher strategy projects BCG absolute winner over and above the rest.
Personally, when talking about prestige etc I think non-consulting viewpoints are very relevant. Thanks for sharing
