Also interested—but also for me, unless there’s a project due soon or I’m not behind on work, I make it a priority to log off for the day at 5/6. And working out/doing something active early in the morning helps me be more productive and stay focused so I get more work done during typical work hours.

Block your calendar. Stop proactively reaching out to people
Do something small for yourself every day, whether it’s a workout, talking to friends/family, reading, pampering, etc. I choose one each day and make it a part of my daily to-do list. It’s really easy to skip it when things get busy but feel free to pivot (e.g., instead of a 30 min workout, downgrade to a 10 min walk)

Just wanted to come in here to say that there are a lot of people who simply get less work, so they get to work less, who might come in here to make you feel like an idiot explaining how they get away with 4 hours working a day or less because they’re so efficient.
I, myself, don’t really have to work very much. It’s not because I’m the best fastest worker though. I’m experienced enough in my career to recognize that it’s because I’ve gotten lucky at my firm in this regard. I’ve worked elsewhere, where, with the same brain, I worked 12+ hours a day and most weekends.
Anyway, there are still good tips, but don’t necessarily 100% trust in people telling you it’s because of something bad you do. Maybe you do slack off, maybe you don’t, but plenty don’t, are efficient, and work a lot of hours simply due to volume of work.
Read in the morning. Yoga before lunch
Lol you prolly spent whatever you got just in drinks by now
Work less. Life more. You won’t regret it
You just have to do it. It’s prioritizing. I work hard not long hours.
