Hey Sharks,
Have joined HCL last week. Assigned a project which seems not too good technically. Thinking of joining other organisation (which is paying low but work wise it's good). If I leave now will it be considered absconding. And if it is then does HCL blacklist those employees for future.
Kindly suggest. TIA.

During project. Rolling off is a vacation
Schedule it when you want to go, regardless of project or bench. Planning ahead is he key.
During a project otherwise you'll hit all the becoming available lists and start getting scrutinized for time not on a project. It's not considered against your chargeability but it's noticed by the MDs leading your area
That's sort of like saying if you find $100 on the street do you take it or leave it where it is? and if you say try and find who lost it, then count yourself in for some reinvest instead of vacation once off a project, for the same good doer feel :p
If you go during project you can flex travel
I always try to take it after or ask if I can still bill the hours I missed in other weeks of the project (like if I'm working 50-60 hours per week but have only been billing 45). At D at least when the project was sold they assumed each person would bill a certain number of hours so if you go on vacation while you're staffed you're basically losing a week of utilization to make the project more profitable.

I thought if you schedule your PTO starting day 1 on the bench that time won't be used against you and will start after you return from pto... 🤔
