While a 74 can be an incredibly hard score to receive, I always like to think that that means just one tiny thing needs to change for you to get a passing score. You are so close to passing and you know what to expect you just need a little bit more time drilling the concepts. Practice makes perfect and you’ve got a couple good practice rounds in you!!
As for the actual test, I always took it in the morning after a hearty breakfast and a big cup of coffee. Easier said than done, but just remember to breathe and relax. Keep reviewing the concepts and you can do it!! Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need further clarification.
Wishing you all the best!!
I agree with the individual above! Ppl say restudy everything and I disagree because you don’t want to put too much time in between fails. Re study those weaker areas first then review. But to be honest you’re close! I suggest studying in detail those weak areas and retake your exam sooner rather than later. Far is a ton of material
It’s coming! Give it a few days and during that time get it all out. Drink, sleep, watch tv so once it come you can get back to it
I just passed FAR yesterday, and it was my first time taking it. My Becker strategy for each module is: watch the lecture on 1.5x speed, read that part of the outline, use the paper flash cards for that module and read them right after the outline, then do all the mcqs for that outline. I didn’t do the skills practice, and just got an 83 on FAR. I passed the last three exams doing this strategy and now I am done! Good luck!!
With doing two of the simulated exams it took 190 hours for FAR. I spent 150 hours studying for REG this way as well.
i got a 62 in quarter 3 retook in quarter 3 and got a 74, retook it 3 weeks later in quarter 4 and got a 76! you can do this!! also took reg in Q4 and just found out i got a 80. so just cram for FAR for 1 month, plan your retake on january 20th, drill mcq every day and take notes on the topics that always f you up! you got this!! mind over matter everyday
If you fail, you didn't study enough. We all have to do it. You can do it the easy way and take the 18 months and put in the time and pass all four OR you can be the little engine that couldn't and keep trying even when deep down you know you are not ready. If you are not ready, you can push back your test time for like 30 bucks up to a couple days before the test. Don't take it until you have mastered the content. Have someone who passed quiz you if you're not sure. You should know how much it takes after you pass your first test. This has nothing to do with your skill or ability at test taking, pure grind. Also FAR takes twice as long to study for as the rest of the tests, so save it for when you're not in busy season.
It’s not new material every time. If you study the areas youre weak in now you’ll pass for sure next time. Felt the same with reg, only had to study after failing, like two weeks before taking it again and passing
I also got a very low score in FAR (similar to your first attempt) I haven’t retaken due to fear of failing badly again but will be taking soon. Just stay positive. Just think how huge that improvement was 41-65... you should be proud of yourself for improving. Don’t waste time and retake that exam ASAP. Hammer mcqs to figure out your weak points and do sims. You got this! I read a couple people post similar things: retake ASAP & hammer mcqs
