Taking a half day of PTO this Friday. Cheers to everyone who can get out of the office early today after a crazy week of grinding. To those who can’t, may the PPT winds always be at your back.

Don’t take PTO, just leave at lunch every Friday! I’ve done my 40 hours by Thursday usually so it’s guilt free!

like

100% agree

like

It is funny how the only way to get a guilt-free day off is if you are sick or if you kid is sick and you have to stay home. :)

It gets tougher when you hit SM and Director levels

I probably work MAYBE 2 to 3 hours EVERY Friday. It’s work from home mostly, and I don’t take PTO. #consultingconfessions

Our 5 month old started daycare about 5 weeks ago. We’ve already had to keep her home for 2.5 of those 5 weeks due to catching various illnesses (croup, rsv, brinchiolitis, etc). Both my wife and I have been sick most of that time as well (gotten it from the baby). Wife is thinking we get a full time nanny for the next 4 months to help the baby build antibodies. Cost aside, is this feasible / worthwhile to go thru the effort / finding the right fit, only for 4 months?

Anyone work with a nutritionist they recommend - specifically for weight loss? So I have completely lost interest in my area of practice mainly because I haven’t been exposed to many matters (our team is really slow) and I am the most junior in the team. So billable work is never constant. I feel like this has impacted my interest and stagnated my growth. I am thinking of moving into a different area of practice that I’m interested in. Has anyone ever done this? I’m actually depressed and I really hate being given work now. I have ADHD. Please advise

My principal approached me in the car pick up line on Friday to inform me that I’ve taken to many days off & school has just started. I took 1day off when my daughter tested positive for Covid, I had an doctor’s appt that had been scheduled 6 months ago to see the hematologist. Being that I’m anemic, current labs showed I need to have 2 iron infusions. I put in for 2 more days off to have that done. He told me in the future to wait until a work day! We done have any until December!!

I’m 6 month pregnant with a good amount of lower back pain that gets worse with standing and walking. Insanely, I’d like to take my 2 older kids to Disney before the new baby arrives. Has anyone been to Disney Land (CA) and Disney World (FL)? I’m curious if Disney Land being smaller would be less walking and possibly a better option.

I joined a new agency and am managing a strategist who is eyeing my title and will at some point be promoted (my team is enormous so I’m not worried about losing my job.) I don’t want to set up a relationship where they decide how projects will be handled. How can I be helpful, but still hold my ground?

Hi Everyone!

I'm looking to move to a nice apartment complex with large windows in the bedroom, a gym, resident/study lounges, and close to a Green or Orange T Stop. So far, I've found the Avenir Apartments in the North End and the Towers at Longfellow in the West End. My budget is $1100-$2000. Please let me know if you have any additional recommendations.

Thanks so much in advance! :)
