AbbVie has a shuttle for the train. Else just move a bit north near the Clybourn or Ravenswood stations, somewhere where you are close to both 90 and the station. That way you have options.
My SO works in AbbVie and her commute is 45 min from Logan Sq (and we’re close to Clybourn).
Thanks BCG1. This is what I’m likely to do. Don’t want to move to burbs so some place closer to Clybourn would be best.

West Loop isn’t horrible if you’re near Ogilvie and can take the Metra. They probably have a shuttle that meets the trains. Most of the big employers do.
I used to work for company that had an office in Lake Forest and lived in River West. It was a quick walk to the metra and they had a shuttle that met the train. [it was also easy access to 94 if I ever had to drive].
the drive there was fine but the drive home was awful if I left after 3:30. on the metra I could work and/or drink wine.
They do have shuttles to and from at the train times!
City: Ravenswood, Lincoln Square, Logan Square, Avondale, Rogers Park
Suburbs: Evanston, Skokie, Winnetka, Vernon Hills, Glenview, Wilmette, Northbrook, Deerfield, Glencoe, Lake Forest, Lincolnshire
That pretty much sums up the main areas my coworkers lived in (except for WI) when I worked for AbbVie prior to ZS.
Abbvie is only like an hour train ride! And they have a shuttle.
I just started and live in Lincoln Park. I take the 7:40 UPN from clybourn and it makes it to the LF stop around 8:30. Then we walk to the shuttle that gets us to ABV1 at 8:55. Make sure to ask for the shuttle schedule on your first day so you make it on time.
You could move to Highland Park, it's pretty nice there. Or Kenosha/Pleasant Prairie, which is also on the UP-N and a 20 - 30 min drive from Waukegan, but nicer and with lower taxes.

Can you grab me some Spotted Cow when you’re over the border ? 🤣
If you’re looking for suburbs, look into Buffalo grove, Skokie, Vernon hills, long grove
Worked for Abbvie for 2 summers and the commute ended up being 15 min (I live in Buffalo Grove)
One of my friends used to live in Vernon hills. He works for abbvie too. I liked that area (Vernon hills) for suburb standards
Friend works there and lives in Vernon Hills.
Is there metra from city to AbbVie? How long is that ride?
Sorry. I just saw all the responses.
Thanks all. This is incredibly helpful!
