Taking GMAT in 4 weeks. Target schools in order are 1) NYU 2) Columbia 3) MIT 4) Haas. Rank blasphemy I know but I want exposure to luxury retail industry. What score as an Asian American would you call safe / no retake required? Right now I’m thinking 730+ but would like other thoughts. Also, should I reschedule and push out? For reference, I scored a practice exam 600 4 weeks ago and 700 2 weeks ago. Doing a 3rd practice exam this weekend after honing on probability and tricky geometry

Not advice your asking for but HEC Paris probably has the best luxury exposure. A lower 700 is probably a good enough to get in too.

Thinking about that or LBS too but would prefer to stay domestic. Thanks though! Still chatting with ppl

740+ put you above average so you’ll be fine there. However, need to focus on many other factor than just gmat.

I scored a 690 and got into NYU, waitlisted at MIT & Haas. 730 is a good score (and scores matter) but your narrative is more important. make sure you can confidently answer why mba, why mba now, why this school, in a way that makes sense with your story

Thanks!

Apply Early Round; I was screwed over by applying to 3/4 Round but still ended up in T15. You need at least a 720+

740+ at least. I will aim for 760 if your undergrad GPA is average.

Is 3.4 from a top UC school stem major avg? Genuinely don’t know

700, accepted at Columbia and NYU early decision (and thrilled to be staying in NYC so didn’t bother applying to the rest of my list after that). My score was prob the minimum viable for the top schools but I’m a good writer with a compelling career path, relevant and well rounded background, good recommendations and also just got super lucky. The whole package matters.

Oh LOL for sure thanks !

Hey Kanban fans -

Trello? Jira? Other? Why?

I've gotten a lot of mileage out of Trello. Can go shallow or deep. Can't beat it for ease of use, robust free features, lot's of options from them/3Ps on the paid side. I haven't had a lot of success on data/tracking / reporting sides.
