I can’t say it’s superior, but I have had great results from micro needling. My skin looks better overall - less acne scars and less fine lines.
I've never done Botox, but have had microneedling several times. I really like the results, but I don't think it takes the place of Botox. To me they serve somewhat different purposes. Microneedling helps collagen production from what I understand. I've also done a few TCA peels which were good for age spots. I've considered Botox and maybe a few fillers, but haven't gotten the nerve to do it yet.
It depends on your age and the laxity of your skin.
Microdermabrasion is old school and an out of date treatment in my point.
Microneedling is an amazing treatment and done on a regular basis will help with building collagen. If you microneedle stem cells or PRP will definitely help.
Botox is a neurotoxin and stops the movement of the muscles in the area in which you inject. When you stop that muscle movement wrinkles can’t form.
I personally microneedle once a month and get great results.
I am 55, I use Skin Better Science products and use a stem cell patch. People typically think I’m in my early 40’s.
I hope this helps.
I have sold skin care products in a med spa for over 15 years. Procedures are great, but never take the place of home care that you do every day. You should have Vitamin C serum, SPF & Retinol in your daily/weekly routine. The sun is your enemy in aging skin.😎
This completely depends on what your skin concerns are. I get tox in my jawline and that reduces muscle mass and stops teeth clenching overnight. Microneedling can’t do shit about that stuff. I’ve also had microneedling done and loved the results.
Nothing is going to get rid of wrinkles to the extent that Botox can.
