Never move for money. Make a move for opportunity, career strategy, culture, or promotion potential. The money is always a short term win but a great career is priceless.
Depends why you want to switch. If it’s about money, you obviously don’t do it. If it’s for other reasons, need to see if they outweigh taking a pay hit - nobody can determine that for you
If you need to switch because of your reputation at your current firm, consider it. If you have good relationships and will be starting the political capital process over, don’t do it.
A little salary bump in either direction won’t matter in the long run
