Have a formal offer at Citi for 120K as an AVP in the NY office. Currently making 92K at my current role where I feel there’s not much room to grow anymore. Is this a fair offer? I currently WFH pretty much full time at my current role which has been amazing, but it seems like Citi would require me to be there 2-3 days in the office per week - and this is something I’m very hesitant about. Thoughts on how to approach this?

Nope, Amazon pays more than that; and their stock’s much lower risk than Uber’s. I’d solve for a D-level role with at least 275 in TC.
No real one as in a external consulting firm but I have been doing in-house strategy / consulting for 7 out of 8 years

You're at 8 YOE. let that sink in for second. This is an Ok offer.
It’s on par with my current TC so it’s OK but I naturally hope to get ~20% lift if possible 😅
No, this is pretty low
Agree 😂😂😂

Base is low.
agreed. Many other firms I spoke to were considering me for senior manager or D before they get in hiring freeze...what’s an industry standard for SM in the bay area? 🙏
I'd take it and jump again in a few years. Most tech seems to be levelling and paying more on tenure and less on role in previous org.
If it eventually works out and I end up taking it this would be my plan
What city?
SF
If this is for SF, seems on the lower end. Most tech companies pay less for business side roles, but if you have 8 YOE and it’s on par with your current comp, you should (barring COVID...) have some leverage to negotiate.
Ah yeah, then I’d take it and lateral out... especially if you like tech, very easy to jump and get a pay raise
