What do I say if a recruiter is refusing to tell me the salary budget for the role I'm interviewing for? They keep asking me for a number, but I keep asking what they value the role at and what their budget is, which they aren't willing to disclose until I give a number. 🤷🏻 What do I do??

I could use some guidance on how to transition out of firm life into a government role. Prior to law: four years working for a state and a city, and four years before that worked at a consulting agency strictly serving government agencies and cities/counties. You’d think this would parlay well into the government roles I am applying for, but so far no dice. I’m entering my fourth year practicing as a lawyer. I love admin law, have some litigation and some transaction work as a lawyer. Thanks!
Interviewing for post-clerkship positions. Term ends in a month. Top choice told me I’m the only person interviewing for an unposted role. The interview went very well. It’s been almost 3 weeks since my last interview with my top choice. I emailed internal recruiter last week asking for timeline. No response. Need offer status ASAP because I can pursue other opportunities through connections but I don’t want to use my goodwill unless forced. BUT I need to pursue those options ASAP too. Advice?
Does anyone have any materials they can share to best prep for a case interview for deloittes human capital?
Hi All! I’m currently applying for a TN visa under a management consultant role. The company payed the premium processing, which takes about 15 days. I wanted to ask if anyone has applied for that visa recently? How long did it take? Did you have to submit more information? What was your experience? Thanks in advance!
We are starting SWE group interview practice from October 25th through 28th November. We did a similar workshop style prep in September and a lot of people joined it. Few things we do as a group 1. Solve problems of most of the topics and patterns 2. You have choice of easy or medium or medium hard problems. 3. Cover topics around system design 4. Discuss problems twice a week on zoom If you are interested signup below https://bit.ly/3ArBxZw

I am still learning and my sr manager is really making me feel stupid. And maybe its just my firms culture but I am on a new engagement and have no senior above me to guide me, the work stream is just me and my senior manager. She had asked me a question about the engagement as to why we are doing something and she got mad because this was the second time she was telling me. I know she is really upset with me but this is all new and I have no one to go to for regular questions. I feel so dumb

Hey y’all - I have a large amount (think $20K +) of credit card debt. I recently finished grad school and have enough to pay it all off, but a lot of my money is in stocks, mutual funds, etfs, etc. Should I just liquidate and pay down the CC debt ASAP? Should I consolidate the CC debt into another loan? Curious how folks have thought about the right balance of debt vs investment.
All of my h1b troopers, can we start a thread sharing what you would miss the most and the least if you need to go back to your home country for good?
Hi Fishes, today I found a job opening in LinkedIn in one of the popular state of united states. "And this job opening is for my team itself" I could only imagine how much that position could be paying compared to here in USI for the exact amount of work that I'll be doing. (both are senior dot net positions) I'm wondering... If I can apply for that US position while still being an employee of DELOITTE USI? Is it possible? Need suggestions..
I spent the last 3 months "growing up" & now I'm ready to go. 1st thing is for me to get my own place. I'd like to buy instead of rent because I don't want to pay someone else's mortgage. I'm thinking of selling my car & cash out some of my 401k to buy a house. My thought is to put down 3.5% for a FHA loan then make a big payment towards the principal to reduce long-term interest. Anything wrong with this thinking or anything else I should consider?
