I just got brand new iPads for my classroom and need to find some apps that are appropriate for my prek students. We just went back to remote learning today. Does anyone have app suggestions?

Anyone know of remote work from home jobs located on the West Coast for Pharmacy Technicians?
Anyone in the AML/Compliance field? I have been an analyst/investigator for almost 3 years and have moved up with small salary increase two times ($5k in total over 2.5 years). I have a CAMS certification and have been on multiple projects while always meeting or exceeding expectations. I feel like my company pays fairly low compared to the rest of the industry but don’t want to be greedy as I am continuing to move up.

I have a question for you. I have been looking for a remote job (in HR) at a credit union. They are so hard to come by! I just found one. One of the requirements is a degree, which I don’t have.
Do you find that most hiring managers won’t budge on that?
The recruiter is listed on the job. Do you think it is a good idea to message her and ask if it would be a deal breaker before I apply? Or should I just apply and hope for the best?
Hi everyone, can anyone recommend books on organizing personal finances that goes beyond the basics but is still easy to understand?
I should be good at this stuff, I have no debt, a decent salary, and I stick to a pretty strict budget… but the ins and outs of different investment and savings options confuse the hell out of me every time. What should I do with my money? Advice appreciated :)
Hi everyone, I am looking for a Business System Analyst and or Scrum Master new position, remote. Could any one help me with a referral? Thanks! :)
How many of you are working remote? I really don’t see how this industry, especially in IT risk could go back to the office. I had minimal time prior to covid at client sites. Want to get a feeling around how many people here still remote and will be remote at least for the presumable future.
What I feel is who have joined PwC between October'21 to January'21 have got default rating-3 and hike of 5% and bonus also similar to that.
As 31st January was the cut-off date and they had given 5% ad-hoc hike in January as well.
I might be wrong but general observation and possibility I'm talking about.

Pro tip: 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight is bro science. Figure out what your lean body mass (LBM) is and multiply 1.0 - 1.3. THIS is the way. Excess protein is aging.
Sorry for rudimentary question but which is the best app/platform for buying coins like BTC and alternatives like Doge and all the other meme driven coins?
The Booth application form asks you to enter frequency of involvement in an Activity in hours/year but then the application preview shows that number as “hour(s) per week”. Has anyone else noticed this? How are you entering the hours? I don’t want my app to show “120 hour(s) per week” for a volunteer activity...
What are the advantages of working for a pre-IPO company?
I've been looking into several, and while they all seem to have great cultures, some are lacking in providing the benefits (401K, ESPP, etc.) that you can get at a more established company. What am I missing here?

Hi! I have my firm photograph session coming up, and I am considering having my makeup professionally done for it. Does anyone have a makeup artist recommendation in Manhattan for this type of thing (ideally midtown but I’m flexible). Thanks!
There was a thread recently about fitness studios. I am going for a free trial class at Barry’s. Anything I should expect or have a heads up about? Are you allowed to walk if you get tired of running?
Hello ladies! Anyone have recommendations for nice work cardigans (that are not super casual or too pricey)? Please and thank you!!!
New Orleans attorneys: my firm is trying to gather data on billable requirements, rates, and salaries because it’s been experiencing crazy turnover lately. If you’re comfortable, it would be helpful if those in New Orleans or similar markets can share this information. I’ll go first: 1. Firm’s primary practice: insurance defense; 2. Firm size: 25-50 attorneys; 3. Billable requirement: 1950 annual; 4. Salary range for 1-5 year associates: 70k-100k; 5. Salary for 5-8 year associates: 100k-125k.
I would like to transition from a corporate transactional practice to a guardianship/conservatorship practice with a firm/org in another state. Any thoughts/ideas on how I can make this happen?
Ladies. Have you ever been to a wedding an remembered what the bridesmaids were wearing? I’m a pandemic bride and so over bridesmaids dresses. About to have everyone pick their own, I don’t even care if it isn’t the same shade.
Anyone else going back to the office a lot heavier than before? Did not realize the extent of my COVID weight gain until I had to put real pants on again. Am feeling so discouraged and shopping is a hassle now that I don’t know my size and stores where I am still close at 7:00. Recommendations for good but stretchy work-appropriate pants (not leggings) would be appreciated …
I just finished watching the Netflix doc about Dominique Strauss Khan’s ~alleged~ sexual assault of Nafi back in 2011 and ...
SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED AND DON’T REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED
I’m shocked that the DA’s office can decline to prosecute so easily! According to the doc, the prosecutors explained that bc they didn’t believe the victim “beyond a reasonable doubt”, they couldn’t in good faith try to convince a jury to do so. Is that really the standard for declining to prosecute a case?
I’ve been practicing trusts and estates in State A for the last 4 years. My husband just got his dream job (high paying, lots of career opp for him) in State B. We’re still deciding what makes most sense for our family, but we’re leaning toward heading to State B. Anyone have any experience with this - moving states when your practice area is so state specific? I’m worried how I’ll market myself/find a new job/start over. I work with a family member in my current job, so that’s another layer...
Hubby: What's wrong? You're grumpy.
Me: *senior associate who also handled daycare drop off and pick up today, and gymnastics class while my husband napped from 4pm to 530pm* Nothing is wrong. I'm just tired.
Hubby: FROM WHAT?!
Thoughts and prayers for my husband please.
Just realized a firm partner has a pattern of treating female employees poorly. Except for the associate who brings in the big money, of course. But it's a trend, and the only reason he doesn't take it as far with me as he does with others is because I do EVERYTHING and he is screwed if I just up and leave. If you've experienced this, how did you deal with it? And yes I am trying to leave, the job market here is a little tough right now.
I supervise a team of 15-20 attorneys. Most of them have more years of experience than me (mid-aughts grad). I have 4 new hires who are about 2 months in that call/email/message me about everything and do not make an effort to find answers for themselves even though we have many resources available. I am trying to be patient because they are new to the team (not to the profession) but I do have my own workload and others to supervise. How can I politely suggest they try to be self sufficient?
Best place to online shop for professional clothes (not just suits), including shoes...suggestions? Also, not too pricey.
Anyone used Botox to treat TMJ/teeth-grinding? My dentist said i should get a mouth guard and potentially do some physical therapy. I seem to be doing a lot of clenching/teeth grinding in the night. I was googling other options and came across a suggestion for Botox. I already get Botox in my forehead for cosmetic purposes so I'm not worried about Botox generally, but unsure how common it is in the jaw for this medical purpose.
Input appreciated! As a second year associate, I have a reasonable 1800 billable requirement and make $70k, but I don’t feel aligned with the firm. I want more WLB and don’t care about making partner. I am considering pivoting to a contracts analyst position (glorified doc review) because it’s 100% remote, same pay, has a 40 hour cap (rather than my current minimum!), flexible hours, and no billables or stress. Would this be a bad idea for my career?
Interviewed with firm. Crazy close to home. Firm does my specialty. Seems like a good fit (I have ptsd from previous firms so gun shy). I think I got low balled salary wise. Like $25k less than what I am making now. I would have 4+ years more experience than any of their associates. Their most senior associate has like 4 kids and has a stay at home wife. I find it hard to believe they are paying that associate as low as they offered me. Probably going to counter but would it be wrong to compare
Can anyone relate to working from home and having children at home 24/7 due to mandatory virtual schooling? It seems as if my male colleagues do not understand why I can’t meet the billable hours each month. I haven’t had a paralegal or any admin assistance in 7 months. And one response I received today was “Can’t you just lock them out of your office.” No I can’t. And the firm is making 7k per month revenue off of me but wanting the double my billing.
Based on the comments of many I know I’m not alone in just being weary right now and the past year. Big law litigation is just a billable hamster wheel I want to get off. I’m also done with firm politics, billable hours, and mystery comp models. But I’m a sucker for security and the “devil you know” has kept me here for years. Are lower stress law jobs a real thing in house and how do you get away from litigation if you haven’t been working hardcore on contracts?
There is a partner in our office that routinely discusses associate performance with other associates. For example, she will tell Associate A that Associate B isn’t performing and/or hitting hours, etc. Recently, I learned that she has been discussing “issues” she had with my work product two years ago (I no longer do any work for her). Is this something I should bring up? It bothers me that she is talking about me to others.

Culture. Why is this position empty ie who had this and why did they leave?
Oh no A2, it is often related to positions being empty. And culture is often the problem. If you’ve got an empty class there’s a reason…
Structure of the team, type of clients, type of work, rollover in team
For what group? Where are you coming from? Salary should be obvious so that seems like the last thing to ask.
