Talking to my CC tomorrow about relocating to a new city while signed onto a very long term project based in my home city. Any suggestions or helpful tips on what to say and how to say it?

Yeah, what is your reason? I was in the same situation. My fiancé got a job in another city so we were moving. Everyone on my project, both client and Accenture leadership, was totally fine with it. It didn't go through HR right away though because my new city isn't a big market for what I am aligned to. I basically said I am moving whether or not you let me. They eventually approved it

like

I had the exact same situation and experience as ACN 2. HR initially denied it but leadership approved everything so I got an exception from HR.

What's the reason for relocating? I think that will inform meeting strategy

I'm burning out in NY and want to move somewhere with a calmer lifestyle.

So how should I go about it. Just tell my CC exactly that? "Hey, so NY is burning me out. I'd love to stay on this account, but would really like to live outside of this area." ?

Honestly, my CC wasn't helpful at all. She basically said "good luck" and sent me on my way. The decision really lies with ACN leadership on your project and your TFS. I told my project leadership first and it didn't matter to them because I was still traveling from the same state. Then I talked to my TFS and explained that it won't change anything because I have never been local anyway. You need to check with them to see if you can commute to the project from a different area.

Same here, my CC didn't do much. My TFS was the one working with HR to get my exception approved

Hi All, I am a recent graduate from Loughborough University with a 2.1 degree in MEng Mechanical Engineering. I would love some feedback on my CV attached. NB: This is my one page edition; with more technical roles, I detail out my project experiences. I am interested in the engineering field, including sustainability, environment, energy, renewables, building service, and CFD. Any advice would be much appreciated in how I can leverage myself in these fields and gain some more insight.

Bored out of my mind at work. I’ve asked for more responsibilities but there isn’t much to do on the account itself. Im essentially being paid (industry standard) to do nothing. The account is a big name, internal team is friendly, client annoying but manageable as any other. Sounds ideal on paper, but I feel restless and like my brain/skills are stagnating. Any advice, or am I complaining about nothing?

I got laid off and am putting together my CV. I’m confused and would like advice on how to structure my resume given in consulting we move across so many different roles and type of project work. Background is in human capital consulting though I’ve had technical roles in the past and one traditional product management role in a short project.

New to the Bowl, greetings to all. I have a question for the sales leaders in the group about the design of sales comp plans. We are in professional services and our customers are about 50:50 retained and project-based. As such, we have an appetite for steady new business acquisition in addition to a need to provide excellent account management. Our gigs are usually in the 150K-750K range. Our BD process is very consultative, 99% of our leads are inbound. <more...>

Just giving a bit of Gyan to fellow fishers Please please do not ever use CTC comparison between current and next company. If you get an offer, do an in hand calculation. Some companies add Retirals like Employer PF, Gratuity along with Insurance, furniture allowance as part of your CTC. Others don't. Sone also have higher variable package. So when you do a CTC delta you may get a 20% hike but when you discount the above things you will fall short and may end up making less. So choose wisely.
