I ordered a Tesla model 3 SR in April and I am able to take delivery this weekend, however I’m now unsure of whether it’s the right move financially. I have a lease on a 2020 BMW X3 that will end next month and was wondering if I should just buy that out and drive it for a few years. If it makes a difference I’m in SoCal so gas is $$$, but no EV charging in my apartment.

Tesla: $830/month + charging and insurance
BMW: $600/m + $150 gas + maint/insurance

Any thoughts? Is the Tesla worth it?

Just know that at the end of the day, if they treat you negatively as a result, there are PLENTY of other offices within Deloitte or any other Big 4 you could work in and be treated fairly while being open at the same time.

Going through a rough patch, mental-health wise. I have always been a high performer and dont back down from challenges. But this past month something feels off in my head and I have 0% motivation for anything at the moment. Brief run down: work-stress, meeting expectations, fear of failure, imposter-syndrome, negative self-image (probably from all the time I spend on IG… might need therapy. 🥲
I don’t know what went wrong, but I don’t think I’m the only one to have felt this. Sorry for the sads!

I’m feeling very sad. I just learned that the partner in my previous firm got fired. I considered him my mentor. He took me under his wing. He was my Don Draper and I was his Peggy Olson. I’m really bummed about this, heartbroken and worried. Nobody knows why. The ex-colleague said everything was normal, they sent him emails but bounced back. Nobody saw it coming. 😢

This is a shower thought / confession: Sometimes I feel like I’m not very smart compared to my peers, but then I see some of the face palm inducing questions being asked on Fishbowl and realize some of these are from the same people making north of 250k a year. So I’m watching the Wayen’s brothers and haven’t watched this since I was a kid. Obviously, as a child you don’t fully pick up on the heavy themes interwoven to the show’s slapstick or exaggerated comedic nature. Black exploitation, integrity and whatnot.
