A&M Undergraduate Consultant Salary

Base: $75,000
Performance Bonus: up to $16,400 (uncapped bonus if in restructuring/turnaround group)
Total Cash (sum of above): up to $91,400
Signing Bonus: up to $10,000

Suggest you read job descriptions and requirements for jobs in the Turnaround/Restructuring practice at a firm like AlixPartners or A&M.

An MBA is not required, but it is the most common entry point at the more junior (VP) level. At VP, 80% of the restructuring specific skills will be learned on the job. With only a handful of YOE, you won’t be expected to be a restructuring expert. But, it wouldn’t hurt to be able to demonstrate the basic concepts... cash flow modeling, 3-statement financial modeling, understanding of bankruptcy process, etc. What the interviewers will be looking for are financial analysis and modeling skills, client communication skills, intelligence (our interview process includes an IQ test), and demeanor (our interview process involves a lengthy personality test).

Got an offer this year, ~150k. Unlimited bonus based on billables

Very helpful, thanks!

How would this compare to FTI Rx? Similar?

I think FTI has considerably less bonus because they have more overhead compared to A&M
