Upper management's direction is to put together the most aggressive deadlines we can. If we think a project will take 16 months, make the plan for 10 months then there's a chance we may launch in 13 months.

I understand that time to market is important in consumer product goods, but being constantly behind schedule and rushing everything is terrible for the team's morale.

Question on salary for an APM in an IT consulting company. I am 26 and have two years experience in software engineering and almost two in project management.
I live in the NYC metro area and we all know how cost of living is right now.

I have only 6 months of experience working in tcs. And I have total of 7 years of total working experience. I'm really interested to work in tcs but not in my current project. I asked for release and they are not ready as they asked me to work for atleast 5 years in this project. So I'm planning to switch to another company. If I get an offer, will tcs consider my problem by changing the project and match my offered salary?

I resigned from TCS as a probationer. I am hearing that they stop the pay for notice period. Is it true? If yes, please guide me around any loophole if there are any around this?
Any suggestions are welcome.

People who're negotiating with TCS HR. Please remember the following. 1.Offers are mostly non negotiable
2.They have strict 30-40% hike only.
3.If you ask more, they will say, I will get back to you and you wont get anymore calls. Be careful.
4.They have bands fixed like 4-6 yrs ITA and so on
Either take the offer and look out for another company or accept the offer if you need TCS somehow. Thiis my personal experience and also from this forum discussions.
