I have 3 year experience working at Deloitte Consulting and want to move on to a Sales role and Career. I currently make $110K, is this feasible comp to make starting out in Sales?. How can I learn about comp in your industry?
Besides the comp question, are there any resources/forums/books online that anyone can recommend that’ll get me a good understand of what to expect out of a sales role, different sales roles, how to succeed, build career, etc. Im starting from 0
Thank you!
I'm also in same situation. I have offer for 28L. I got wings2 bonus also. And project manager pretend like to give me onsite which is only one position available (lollipop). When I cross check with my colleagues, he was trying to give same lollipop to everyone who resigned recently. I wonder that how one onsite position can be share to 5ppl. 😂.
TCS is good company. Only these kind of selfish project managers spoiling projects and make l making TCS to loose some good resource who are loyal to the brand TATA.
Truth
I see your situation and I can read the work "job security" screaming in the paragraph.
You must remember tcs situation will quickly change as we are taking in ppl with 20-30 LPA.
And I'm sure we all know, all org carry 70% revenue profits margins for offshore with this high buys there is no possibility that 70 number will never be reached
Hence there will certainly be time to push out ppl after 20yrs service . How many 50yr old do you see in tcs ?
So don't worry take the leap if it needs be and for onshore I have been in uk , Europe and Singapore
The max I could save when I was bachelor was 1 lac per month , when married almost nil to some .
So decide what you want and then take a decision .
Thank you for the response , do elaborate on how tcs shall maintain its profits for fixed billing programs or for T&M when the infra cost and the associate cost are shooting sky high .
Do leave a comment for the original subject too , if you can advice him to stay back help with pros .
All sound like you are being given laddu and gajar.
He is terribly underpaid, even 4 yoe folks are getting 25 lac offered
Stay if you really love the environment and want to move onsite. Switching is the very obvious thing which every second person is trying. Go onsite , spend some time and then switch.
No onshore anywhere, be it TCS or Acn. Because of Covid nd India's plight
Once you resign, they will promise to send you on site, don't get trapped.. Move on. 25 lpa is huge package compared to 14 . Never know in next company you might again get better opportunity
Rising Star
Leave tcs all fake promise
thabks buddy
Depends upon the country and onsite salary
with the never ending pandemic situation, its 50/50 getting a onsite oppurtunity, if mgmt is ready too, pandemic shld end...So switch and enjoy high pay in your own country...my opinion bro😁

Stay in TCS ...n grab an on-site oppertunity ..that adds a lot value n experience to your profile in addition to money.
After appraisal, if you are getting 8% hike, your CTC will 14 Lacs. Your in hand will increase by maximum 5k per month. If you are looking for change for financial reason, I will say go and switch. If you have 100% visibility on onsite opportunity, you must give preference to that. If you have any doubt and you are not getting proper response on your onsite process, switch company. Work environment will almost same every where depends on project.
