Your rhetoric seems a bit extreme.
While I think it’s true that teachers unions don’t always do the best job of advocating for the teachers and have a tendency to act in their own self interest, they’re still necessary bc without them teachers are likely to be treated worse.
To be clear, I am all for treating teachers better, but unions have proven to be corrupt institutions that are holding public school students hostage in cities like DC and Chicago as we speak

In some cultures, teaching is viewed as prestigious even if it doesn't pay well.
You want to go after teachers unions?? is it just because your kid needs to stay at home because teachers don’t want to risk getting Covid? In some states, teachers aren’t classified as essential workers, which means they are not being prioritized on vaccine distribution. I suggest putting your efforts toward qualifying them as essential workers instead of of demonizing unions.
Also, please tell us how many millions McKinsey is going to pay out to settle their opioid recommendations
I live in one M3 my kids haven’t been in school a single day in the past 8 months and now that’s the teachers are getting vaccinated they FINALLY after a long battle my kids get to go back to school! -2 days a week with a one hour delay every day.

I would the bad thing about a teachers union is it benefits teachers that are horrible. Everything else is good for teachers in general.
I agree, in my district teachers have been vaccinated (the ones that agreed to get it) but my kids still don’t go to school in person. The union just agreed to let the kids come back, but only 2 days a week and with a 1 hour delay on those 2 days. Meanwhile sports teams are practicing as normal. Lot of essential working parents (those that have kept their jobs) have been having to pay to send their young kids to daycares to do their online learning that we all pay taxes for so that they can still go to work. My wife had to quit her job and still they’re fighting to not go back to work full time.
