I can't stop thinking about work.
Does anyone know if the same 401k rules apply at EY as Accenture so they will cap the contributions coming for your check say if you hit the yearly limits in August? So if you hit the 22,500 in 23 there is no way to go over for tax issues. Thinking to frontload next year contributions if market is down. EY

Luckily I’ve got one!
Don’t do it
The hours are trash and everything I’m seeing on staffing is either a long term PMO/IMO or some boring role with a retailer (e.g., GNFR, change management). The work has been very underwhelming since I started. The $$$ is in long term implementation projects for the partner so I get it. But doing this for 60-70 hours per week legit sucks.
If you’re already working those hours doing the same type of work, then maybe it’s worth it just for some extra cash.
C1 - Being at Salesforce now I’m looking to go into less tech-driven consulting.
BCG2 - that does sound concerning. I wonder if the region you’re in has an impact on this, i.e.: US vs Europe
In my experience (BCG) it's all about the teams you work with (some get lucky, some like BCG2 do not). I've averaged 55-60 over my time here so far. I've done some cool cases, some boring. I actually prefer/try for the boring ones because they're generally less work.
Turnaround and run!
