My anxiety is now manageable! No more panic attacks. Making progress in therapy. A complete 180 compared to how things were years ago.
A2- a lot of self assessment and acceptance, therapy, (finally) finding an anxiety med that worked for me, learning how to set boundaries with people, learning what I needed to get through tough days/weeks, cutting down on drinking and “toxic friends”. A lot of this gradually happened naturally over time. It’s a beautiful, slow but gratifying journey!
My boyfriend just professed his love for me. He is the first person who has taught me the beauty of family (I have none) and is a great cheerleader

Recently trusted and bought a house with more space for the kids. When bedtime for my youngest came around it took me a while to find her. I remembered that I finished building their playground yesterday (three long, hot weekends of backbreaking work) and thought to check there. My youngest (5) was in the sandbox with her big sister (12) playing with the bright blue sand.
While my wife was finishing up bedtime for the littles, I stepped out onto our porch to think about the next improvement project. It wasn't quite dark yet and I saw a bat. Then another. Next thing I knew there are least five bats zipping around catching bugs. I called my 12yo daughter back outside to see. She commented on how amazingly fast they are. I shared my limited knowledge about bats (I did a report on bats in 5th grade, so basically an expert 🤣) and the conversation drifted to how she's liking our new area and if she misses the city we left and her life there. She told me she's really happy to be "in nature" and still talks to her friends online, so she's glad we moved.
I won't mention how difficult dinner was and how they refused to clear their places or how the 5yo and 12yo were fighting earlier. No, in this moment, life is good and I'm glad I saw this thread after such a great end to the evening to remind and reinforce that life has ups and downs, but we work to make each day a little better.
