So I’m about to start my interview process for Capital One next week for a Senior Financial Analyst position. My recruiter going give me a prep call on Friday but I wanted any advice that recruiters don’t tell you during the interview process. Also I wanted to ask if Capital One a decent place to work at. I will be working at the one in McLean Virginia if that helps.

You'll almost certainly go down a level. Maybe comp can still be similar given that finance pays decently but I'm not too sure at those higher levels.
Transition will be difficult because you need to convince a company that they should hire an audit SM to be their FP&A manager (or higher). Unless you have some pretty relevant experience, it will be a tough sell.
I don't think it's impossible though. You'd be more likely to jump to industry into a financial reporting SM (or similar accounting role) and then move over to FP&A from there. I've seen it.
I went into industry in an accounting role but my current company has a great internal mobility program. If I do well and am interested in a different area that has an opening, they would support a move after at least one year. Maybe finding a company like this and starting out in an accounting role (which likely include a nice pay bump) could be the way to go
What company do you work at?

Not true, sm leave all the time, last one that left us went as svp of a bank…
This was my worst nightmare as an auditor. Glad I made the jump 2 years in.
