Go with funniest commercials, that’s how I choose and they really put a lot of effort into their commercials
Go with whoever is cheapest for the same coverage. Teslas in general have been more expensive to insure - I found the best deal with Costco Ameriprise or connect or whatever else it's called now.

Because that’s a pain in the ass?
I went with Progressive. It was at least 25% cheaper than the next best and usual suspects including Geico.
I have Travelers for my Tesla. That was cheapest. I didn’t check the rates of Tesla Insurance.

Check out Xcelerate - third party warranty seems to have good potential and curiosity among the Tesla community. Like everything it’s new and unproven. Just bought a model 3 and I am considering it, given that out of warranty repairs feel like they’ll be astronomical. Can you imagine how much replacing the center screen would cost?

Warranty and insurance are different. I would not pay for extended warranty because (a) my Model 3 has been flawless in 2+ years of ownership (b) I know a local mechanic who is reasonable and specializes in Teslas.

Sorry misread the post, how long do you plan on keeping your model 3? And just because it’s been flawless for two years doesn’t mean it’ll always be that way. But I do agree that it’s not quite as necessary for a model 3 since it’s overall a much simpler vehicle, but a used model S? I mean those pop out door handles can’t be cheap
