Tested positive for Covid despite being vaxxed and boosted. I’m really stressed about potential long-term health issues. 😩😩

Stay hydrated. Don’t sleep on your back. Get vitamin D. Don’t stress. You’ll be ok, been there with all the symptoms you can think of and whilst it was horrible, it passed. Yours will too, stay strong 💪🏼

I got it 4 times, 2 of them fully vacced.
If you are vacced, you will most likely be fine, few symptons. Vaccunation reduces the severity of the symptons for most of the people.
I just assume i will get it yearly at this stage.

New variant isn't as bad as the original

Here I am unvaxxed and have yet to catch it despite traveling all over the past 2 years 😂

No vax and got it. I got through it and now natural antibodies.

Here, hopefully this helps. I took vitamin d, c, and a, zinc, probiotics, and melatonin when I caught it.

Sorry to hear that - I also haven’t had it yet but at this point kind of feel it’s inevitable at some point.

One point that should reassure you is that studies are showing only a small fraction of those who are vaxed and boosted are getting Long-COVID of any sort as compared to those who had the Delta or Omicron Ba.1 variants and were unvaxed. I’m part of the Long-COVID Alliance for work so hear the latest updates once a month, and it has assuaged my own concerns about that risk, specifically.

I hope your symptoms aren’t too bad - feel better!

helpful

Thanks so much. That’s really helpful!

Let’s say I have it on good authority*^^ that you’ll very likely be fine in about a week. Feel better soon. 😊

uplifting

Thank you. 🥹🥹🥹

It should likely be mild and the chances of long run effects are lower because you're also vaccinated and boosted.

Vaccination does not mean you’re “cured” it means you will probably be sick for 2-3 days compared to 14 weeks. And the chances of dying are very little lol.

Vax doesn’t do anything lmao

Hi tax 🐠,

I have a question for those who prep individual tax returns. My parents claim my grandfather as a dependent on their tax return and due to their low income, receive PTC for the premiums they pay on his insurance (not eligible for medicare). However, would it be advantageous to have him file for his own tax return (he stays with my parents and doesn't have his own proof of residency via bills). If so, can he get PTC if his income is 0?

I missed my period last week so took a pregnancy test yesterday (oh the irony) and it was positive! Part of me didn’t believe it so I bought a test from a diff brand, took it this AM, and it was positive again. I’m half terrified and half want to shout from the rooftops!! (It’s our first.) Serious question - is there a reverse FIRE strategy? I like the idea of saving and retiring early, but the one hiccup I see (and sorry if this is grim) is if you die earlier than expected. I’d be worried that I would minimize lifestyle and fun for retirement at 50 but I’d die at 49. How about a way to work 9 months out of the year and retire/travel/relax for 3 months? This way you guaranteed your dreams/etc. are fulfilled

Also, how much do you give away? If they're minis, then several, and 1 each if full sized?
Do you give them just to the kids or to anyone who's dressed up, including the accompanying adult?
Why is distributing candy so stressful 🥲
