I know someone who got his work&travel permit then traveled internationally (it’s been 5 months) to disconnect mentally (he went through a lot in US alone). Then, he got his green card just 2 weeks ago. Does anyone know if the 6 months period will re-start because he got his GC? Or he has to come back regardless before the 6 months period is finished?
If I book travel with my own credit card and my firm reimburses me. Won’t I have to pay tax on the reimbursement as income?
Question about LEAPs. I purchased 1/2022 calls on a few down in the dumps real estate stocks like IVR. When I read about leaps, the advice was to buy some thing with a minimum delta of .70, So I bought, for example, a 1.50 call for IVR. If this stock reaches pre-Covid levels, and my LEAP is deep, deep lTM, will I have trouble selling it? Thanks, this is my first day.
For my auditors, how has remote auditing during the pandemic change your perspective on client-site auditing? What have been some pros/ cons?

At what point do we ask to WFH? I am based in NYC and now there are two confirmed coronavirus cases. My project has not mentioned working remotely and travel is booked for upcoming months... 😧
After a client briefing call: Director: scratch everything and repurpose last years strat framework. Me: sighs 😩
Does anyone sign their emails at the end with their initials of their first and last name? I'm not sure how I feel about that, I've noticed quite a lot of people in the firm and at the client who do.
What is the use case for any crypto project (and summarily the coin) when it can eventually be absorbed or done better by a corporation? Think VET vs IBM
Delta DMs/PMs: anybody know how those on the GUC/RUC waitlist are prioritized? I know DMs always come before PMs, but what happens if two DMs in the same paid fare class both use a GUC for example?
Ive been bullish since June and expect this rally to continue until late August. After that, I’m loading up on VIX and value stocks. Open to feedback/different viewpoints. Delta variant is irrelevant IMO. Week of July 26th - Choppy mid-week due to interest rate decision on 7/28 Week of August 2nd - Bullish all week leading up to July Jobs data Week of August 9th - Inflation data might cause slight pullback but still bullish Week of August 16th - Bullish until options expiry on August 20th
Just curious how much time you guys spend in client facing activities vs. other admin things THAT AREN' T BY CHOICE. Lately I' ve been like 90% admin crap

Does anyone have the 2020 SHRM books for sale or to borrow? My job won’t contribute towards my certification. I’ve already paid for my test. I have the books from 2015 but I’d like to study from the 2020. I tried finding them online to purchase but sellers of affordable books aren’t responding.
How to keep mother and MIL apart? Wedding in 7 weeks, moms hate each other. Both sets of parents live close by. Dreams of having them all get along in the future have been reduced to dust. Now just trying to make it through the wedding and keep them apart for the rest of my life. And pray they let me and my husband build our own lives.
I am maxing out my H1B in a couple of months. My visa stamp obviously expires as well. In case I am able to get an extension lost I140 approval, do I need to go back to get a new stamp or can stay with the I797 approval copy in the states?
Does anyone have any advice for a rising sophomore trying to get an IB/PE offer for the 2022 summer? Any tips about interviewing, networking, etc. is greatly appreciated. I have a 3.9 GPA at Notre Dame with a good financial internship from this summer so I feel like I have a decent chance, but I definitely need some guidance. Thank you in advance!
Have the option to transfer to Canada (Vancouver/Toronto/Montreal) and keep my US salary or to London at a 10% paycut. My current salary is 100K USD which will be ~65K GBP if London and ~125K CAD if Canada. Obviously my salary will go further in Canada but London sounds too cool to pass on. So my main question is: will living on 65K in London be comfortable enough that I just do it for the experience? Currently in NYC at 3 yoe and will go back to the US after 1 year for MBA. Please advise!
Who here has successfully gotten a client on Behance? I get requests but haven’t landed so far.
What happens if my H1b extension petition is due and I am on bench? Do I have to be on a project for getting H1b extension?
How do you approach the question “why are you looking to leave your current company” during an interview? If I could be honest I’d say I’m burnt out and underpaid lol
I know everyone has worked on “burn and churn” accounts but when did you know it was time to leave/ how did you leave? Backstory: since the get go we have had a long sprints, a terrible account manager, and a cd who won’t support us or advocate for us. We are burnt out but when we raise our hand we just get yelled at and told everyone is dealing with this. How do we escape?
2nd year associate here. Has anyone made a jump from a boutique firm to big law? I found out that I’m a front runner for a gig with an Amlaw 100. I never thought I’d have this chance having graduated from an unranked law school and still being so junior. Even though the firm asked if I’d be willing to start as a 1st year given my lack of litigation experience, it’s still a monumental upgrade/ jump. I’m nervous about the culture shock and whether I’ll cut it. Could really use some advice!
If you could work remote from anywhere in the US, where would you? (Within reason, of course)

HR reached out to connect on expense audit, this is the first time that I’ve received notice on this matter - how much trouble am I in?
Billed about 1100 hours so far this year. This month I’ve billed 56 hours LOL. It’s just been slow and I’ve asked for work once. Should I be concerned? I kinda feel like It’s not a big deal but a friend made a comment and now I’m worried it might look like I’m slacking with all my “professional reading” hours this month. Thoughts?
