I have one Marriott night award / certificate expiring end of the year. Dont have vacation planned out but will be going in Feb. Anyone has successfully extended or prebooked their trip?

I recently accepted an offer and have onboarding coming up. Any idea how busy I’ll be in the evenings for those couple of days? The calendar invite only goes until 4pm but I wasn’t sure if there’s any additional events that go on. My fiancé wants to travel with me so we can spend some time in the city where I’m onboarding, but not sure if I’ll be busy the entire time or not.

All these weddings are blowing my mind and budget. I've had 5 weddings so far this year with several more to go by EoY. On top of that I've been asked to be in a lot of them which adds additional time commitment and cost. The cost of a bachelor party + shitty men's warehouse suit rental + travel and airbnb for the weekend + couple hundred bucks for wedding gift means I'm blowing tons of money for these weddings but I feel bad to say no.

I am a person of color in big 4 consulting. Somehow every time (approx 6 occasions) they give me a “mentor” or “buddy” or manager on a project it is someone of my race. I am assuming it might be my firm’s diversity focused way of trying to help me with opportunities and networking. However, I feel handicapped from being exposed to a wider range of colleagues beyond my race as I already have so many of those formal connections I have to cater to.

How should I think about this?
