Yes! I’m looking forward to spending time with my partner and baby boy. We’re just going to keep it pretty chill and relax at home. What about you!?

So we have this thing we do in my household, where we watch a Christmas-themed movie every weekend all through December. We picked out the movies for this year's, and we are starting them this weekend. I love it so much!

I'm looking forward to giving my family the gifts that I bought them. I put a lot of thought into their presents and I know they are going to love them.

I'm actually looking forward to the snow. I love the way it looks on the naked tree branches. I'm also looking forward to the Christmas decorations.

Sleeping longer. 😁

Finishing up projects and more time for fun with family and friends

The weekend flew by! Now I’m just looking forward to Christmas!

I can't wait for the next weekend to come :D

I've risen in my org to a Sr. Director level running a virtual BU, but seem to have maxed out my title and responsibility despite a history of exceptional results & solid relationships. A mentor ~3 years back was pushing me for VP, but left for a CRO role and since have been stagnant despite doing my best work. I know I'm paid well and have an excellent brand, but feel like I could be doing more. I'm also highly visible making a search externally difficult. Any ideas on breaking out?

I am currently a biomedical engineer at @U.S. Food and Drug Administration with over two years of experience. I would like to hear everyone's experience navigating the GS increase (salary raise) as a government employee. Here are some questions for discussion. How long did it take you to be promoted to the next pay grade? What do you think contributed the most to that salary increase? If you transitioned into the private sector, what drove you to make this decision? Thanks!

I’m getting a new boss and I get to interview them. What kind of questions should I prioritize?

If you work somewhere that you would say actually has a positive/inclusive/safe culture for women especially: what are the specific things or people that make it that way? If not - why not?

Hello, I’m a Senior Software Engineer with over 17 years of experience. Primarily worked with the Microsoft tech stack, but also worked with Java and Python. If you know of any opportunities please feel free to reach out. Thanks!

What, if anything, can be done to increase and encourage female representation in hired STEM positions? For example, should female and other minority employees have input on your companies yearly class of interns or new hires? Do you think women are underrepresented in STEM because of societal standards or because we have to fight harder to get hired? Having a bit of a debate with a coworker over solutions.

Can anyone help me?
I’m 25 and have an array of experience within environmental science. I mostly enjoy being a field employee but recognize the pay is not always great. My current position is bureaucratic and technically oriented which is great for skills but not for growth. I know I have more to offer and want to expand into different areas of STEM. Any suggestions or recommendations would help, I’m open to anything!

Hi all! I’m an engineer working in the global health space and I’m finding it’s a small, small pool. I also just found out that a new hire (male, also an engineer) is the reason I got a raise after ~5 years of stagnancy. I love my job, but it’s time to move on. Anyone who’s worked in nonprofit spaces - did you stay? Did you switch to consulting/government/etc or go corporate? I’ve been applying without much response, and I’m debating whether a PMP very or masters is going to be necessary.

I'm the only woman on my team in the lab, and all my male colleagues told me today they just assumed I would handle getting our boss's Christmas gift and card together. They thought once I had everything they could just sign the card, and that would be it. What's the best way to explain that this isn't cool without coming off naggy? If we drew sticks or something I'd be fine, but this feels lowkey sexist. Thoughts?
