I had an interview last Thursday and a pretty lengthy case study that’s due today. Did not finish it in time, should I ask for an extension or just forget it? Not sure if I would accept the job anyway

Can I lie in a law firm job interview about having received an offer from a recent interview at another firm (where I did in fact recently interview, but was dinged at the final stage)? Aside from the morality or merits of doing so, is there any chance of being caught doing this?

Best book on case studies? Not necessarily books that’ll help you with techniques to pass that part of an interview but more for enjoyment and curiosity with a bit of actionable answers and solutions

Need some emotional support - didn’t get this job I was interviewing for 4 months. The recruiter said team still loves your experience but not exactly what they are looking for, why drag it out for 4 months and 10 rounds of interviews 😭

I passed my last CPA exam last week. I’m still shock! It doesn’t feel real.

I was laid off fall of last year, allegedly due to covid. I just saw that they re-listed my position and now am devastated and doubting everything about my career. I got good reviews at this and my previous jobs but many are cowardly about giving honest feedback. I am a second year associating working at a law firm that has 180 attorneys total. In our market we are considered big law. I have been thinking about making a move to a larger market for a while now. Any advice on when/how to make the move to a new city that you have no ties in? I’m particularly interested in any thoughts on passing the bar in a new state while still working or transitioning into a new position.
