Staying at the Ritz Carlton - Dove Mountain, AZ for a long weekend. Before coming, I called and asked what the COVID restrictions were, I was given vague information and once I arrived realized that the restrictions were more stringent than described, and the only restaurant open for dinner service on hotel property is a mile away, near the golf course. When asking the hotel how we are supposed to get there for dinner, they told us that we would have to walk as they are understaffed....
I have a Marriott rewards car, Can I use it instead of my Amex Corp while staying at Marriott on business trips
If you are doing a full day of travel for a client meeting, what do you bill? A full day rate?
Can I use my Marriott or American Express points for car rentals? Really need it for a vacation.
Hi Everyone - are there any EY folks that can give me some insight into the working environment and any changes to your travel requirements. I’m considering a role in the FSO unit. Thanks!
Best way to maximize Amex Gold benefits? Aside from the Uber and dining credits - I don’t travel much but I do dine out / order in a fair bit
Systemwide upgrades on AA: They have to be on flights that say "American Airlines" when you buy them/can't be used for a partner like British Airways, right? Looking at a Europe trip, want to clarify
LGA 1, me 0. Missed my flight today. The cards were stacked against me. I guess I just get some more quality LGA time now... happy flyday fish fam
For a flight NAM - Bangkok, what airline is best (Emirates, Qatar, Ethiad) for status match with US airlines (Delta, United, AA)?
Curious to get thoughts of seasoned travellers. My 6.15pm direct JFK-SFO flight is delayed until 1am due to weather complications. Option to take a 12.10am to Seattle then 7am to SFO (arriving 10am).
Anyone (or knows someone) that lives in Dallas and flies with United or Delta? Is it somewhat convenient or not at all? I dislike AA and am thinking of switching
Anyone ever get upgraded on an international flight booked on points with delta? If so, any tips of making it happen?
Good Marriott hotel in Vegas for Christmas time? Platinum elite member hoping for upgrades.
PSA - those who are so close to Marriott lifetime platinum elite should work on getting the status by end of year. If you do this you will be grandfathered into lifetime platinum premier
Has anyone recently gotten his visa stamped via dropbox in India?? do we still need a National Interest Exception even though the travel ban is ending on November 8.
For those that fly Southwest, do you ever book business select or just buy cheapest fare?
What are the consulting firms outside of MBB that do private equity work and have a strong record of lateral recruiting into MBB?
When I started in public 5-6 years ago most associates and seniors were willing to put in 60+ hour weeks. Now it seems that people are less willing to and want more money from firms sooner. Are others noticing this? If so, do you think that the public accounting model will change in the future? Perhaps hiring more with less hour expectation per person or some other solution.
Anyone here on Microsoft corporate strategy & development team willing to chat? Kind of a dream exit opp for me.
Anyone find it suspect when some Partners throw around "I'm sure we all would prefer to be in person..." type things? Like do you hate your family or something? Maybe I'm getting to used to remote work 😬
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
A lot of negative reviews on Glassdoor saying Google Cloud does not have the same culture as the rest of Google. Anybody here able to weigh in?
Does anyone know the starting salary for Jackson Lewis in the firm's Connecticut office, as well as the billable hours requirement?
What kind of interview questions does a recruiter ask vs a creative director? What’s the biggest difference? Just got into the industry so need a bit of help prepping for interviews, thanks!
So I'm a single dad, which I feel can be tough sometimes - doesn't fit with gender norms. It's the professional equivalent of not having baby changing stations in the mens room.
Interviewing at The Home Depot for PM role. Anyone working there now as a PM or interviewed recently?
Openings in Bank Of America for Mumbai and Chennai location. Experience 4-9 yrs. Interested folks can reach out to me.
Asking for a friend who is a 2L in a New York law school, given the current coronavirus situation, how are firms handling summer internships, if any are hiring?
I was offered a winter internship in Audit at PwC, but I want to switch to TAS/M&A Due Diligence for full-time. If I were to get a return offer, would I be able to negotiate to return in TAS, or would I need to re-apply? (Asking for a friend)
I'll never be a managing director. Probably will never reach more than 500k/yr salary. I'm content about it. What stark realizations about your career have you arrived at?
So today I'll be embarking on journey back to my home country after 6 years here. Graduated magna cum laude, rated 5 in 2 of 3 yrs EY while also doing MBA graduating magna again. But didn't get visa..
Am I right in thinking that many attorneys often complicate disputes unnecessarily? Say, for instance, employment disputes. Client wants to get rid of an employee. Attorney reviews case and concludes that it’s dubious whether they have cause for termination. Often, the parties go into a long back and forth dispute that is often settled just before trial. The attorney should say "look, there’s a strong risk this won’t hold up in court, you must offer a good settlement. Let’s do it ASAP".
We pay so much tax to the Govt. What are the benefits we are getting? Please read the article.
Hello Everyone! Had a discussion yesterday regarding “claw backs” being included in a policy for sponsorship if the new employee leaves before 3 years. It was a declining percentage over a three year period. My POV was that it wasn’t something I’ve ever done and didn’t seem like they were sure of the hire they were making. I get wanting to save costs but at the same time doesn’t feel inclusive or welcoming. Thoughts? Have you done this or seen it work? Thanks!
