Congratulations!! I kinda went on a similar journey last 9 months dropping over 80lbs. All this when traveling Mon-Thursday. I’m proud of very few things in life - this is one of them. Gotta keep up the momentum.

I was doing coast to coast travel and just felt like crap. A lot of my motivation can from signing up for a couple run and bike races in the summer. Also set goals to up my muscle mass as well as reduce my run times from 9:30 min/miles to 8 min miles. I picked hotels with gyms and my apt building has a gym. Kept calorie counts on LoseIt and Fitbod makes weight training workouts automagically with rotating muscle groups and increasing weight. It’s been tough but meal replacement shakes and limiting alcohol has helped a lot. Fitbod creating a workout I just had to follow each day for 30 mins weight training was a big factor as I barely knew anything about it.

What kind of diets did everyone follow? I workout a lot but struggle with the eating side of a healthy lifestyle, which definitely has been preventing weight loss for me

I’m closest to whole 30 but veg. I’m not losing more than 4-6 lbs/month but I also have put on about 10% muscle (according to my electromagnetic scale) alongside major improvements in cardio. I’ll have less than 4 alcoholic drinks a week. I usually do heavy protein and greens focused lunch while trying to have a more satisfying but healthy meal at night. For example lunch would be items like protein shake, yogurt, salad, toast, eggs, etc....dinner I’ll try to have whole meals as I get more time to sit and enjoy food. One day a week for cheat meals but try to do some light cardio/yoga that day instead of full workouts.

What’s the procedure to reduce belly fat? I got my wt down but not belly fat.

There is no spot expertise but Lifting strong weights can give you a sick body, more than cardio would. (Just make sure you are consistent and follow proper posture)

Anyone who recently joined mindtree can please tell me the steps till joining. I got offer from mindtree and after accepting offer, I was asked to submit all documents related to employment, education etc. on a portal for background verification. Will a pinched nerve under your shoulder blade, and elbow ever get fully recovered? Has anyone's? As long as I continue to stay working in tech on the computer, I feel like it's just gonna stay this way. Hate to even think this, but I feel like I might need to step away eventually. Even with PT for the last 3 years, I'm still in pain, numb and uncomfortable. What’s the best book you’ve read or habit you’ve implemented to improve your self-esteem?

I’ve been trying to manage life off of anti-depressants and my low self-esteem makes me feel like it’ll creep back up again. I got to a point where I felt pretty confident and sure of myself (and very emotionally stable) - hence why I tapered off. But this week and the past have just been bad (crying spells) and it’s all been triggered by how bad I feel about me.

How do you avoid alcohol? My social activities with friends still revolve around alcohol and I find it fun, but lately, it’s not really worth it. I get hungover on Sunday followed by 3 days of depression and feeling empty, and back to life on Thursdays. My weeks are fine when I don’t drink. After investigation, it seems like they all skip the depression, so I assume my body just doesn’t vibe with alcohol and I should make a change. So, how do you deal with peer pressure?
