That feeling when you’ve prepped your client extensively, but still get the feeling they’re going to crash & burn on you right out of the gate 😩

Been in FP&A for about 4 years, really dislike the reporting and reconciliation aspects of it but have enjoyed being a business partnership roles / more project oriented roles but it feels like 90% of the roles out there are more corporate FP&A roles. Any tips to find more strategic finance / business unit roles?

I manage a team of creatives and one of my designers is "extra" creative, especially with her makeup. We are a client-facing team and interact with companies in the finance and accounting industry. I've tried subtle hints to tell her to tone down her makeup but it hasn't been working (Im talking themed Disney, horror, fantasy type of makeup). question for women: what is your open and honest opinion when people refer to a group as “you guys” in emails/chats? I’ve been very cognizant to use gender neutral pronouns but I’m curious if anyone really cares (I understand there might be no right or wrong but I’m curious where the majority stands) Also, is it weird if I email a group with only women and say “Ladies,…” I know that sounds weird but if it’s a group of men I’ll say “Gentlemen,….”
