That sweet sweet feeling when you push the elevator button for a higher floor at the hotel than anyone else in the elevator...yeah. Damn it feels good to be a gangster.

Honestly sometimes I hate being on the top floor...having to stop at every floor on the way up and then again on the way down is hard when you’re an impatient person :/

like

Try living in a high rise apartment and pushing the wrong floor with frequency. Nothing like coming home thinking you're still staying on 16 and you live on 4.

#SpoiltConsultant... wait for a home project and you will be at the bottom floor lol 😂😂 happened to me at hotel, airline, rental.....

The places I’ve traveled to this year, no way I wanna be on the top floor to see the nonexistent view

Unless there’s a lounge on that floor I actually prefer lower floors. Quicker access to get up to my room and quicker to get back to ground floor

like

Don’t be that guy!!

I prefer being on a lower floor in case there is a fire I don’t have to run down 30 flights of stairs

Same feeling here when I have to head up; instant regret the next morning when I have to stop At every floor

I choose the lowest floors. I like minimizing my time in elevators. No need for a high floor to remind me of my ~500 lifetime nights

For anyone that moved to the US a bit later in life (early 30s), do you feel like you are financially behind retirement now by United States standards?

My home country offers free health care, education, affordable living etc and now i’m in the US the only way I think I’ll ever catch up for retirement is by making Partner salary one day but still living like I’m on a Manager salary to save.

Plus on a visa we cannot have other income. This is going to be a long game of catch up.

Question for fellow attorneys:

I applied to a credit card with Chase a few months ago and within 7 days I was told it was rejected and they would send a letter explaining why.

Chase has recently calling to say it expired (they said it wasn’t rejected but I was told on the recorded line that it was).

Isn’t this against the law (fair credit reporting act)?. I’m not a lawyer so I’d love to hear your thoughts

Could anyone provide me with a quick analysis on emissions for cars? My country is considering to lower the speed limit in the night to 100 km/h (currently 130 km/h on some highways). I wonder whether this actually has a positive influence on emissions? Because the decreased speed also results in longer travel times. And aren’t the emissions very car specific as well? I can imagine old cars would be more polluting but I doubt if there would be a difference for modern cars? And what about fuel?

Role is fully remote (no travel), incredible WLB (seriously), and comp is $85-$110K (all base, no bonus), depending on experience, which for this role, we are targeting 2-6 years of consulting, strategy, or other similar experience. This should be considered a pre-MBA role.

DM me for additional details if interested. Thank you!
